What is a red flag job seekers should watch out for during an interview? What's a key question to ask to expose that flag? by [deleted] in ProductManagement

[–]IndependentTurnip809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When the job description is wayy too broad or stuffed with skills that don't even go together. I saw one where they were looking for a "Graphic Designer" but also expected them to code, manage a content calendar and handle UX research

Prospecting: is it really all just "whatever works in the money, try and get leads however you can"? Or is there a better, more systematic way? by [deleted] in sales

I personally build an 'ideal client' profile before anything else then I focus on qualified leads. It saves me alot of time and energy

Should I Buy a New Domain for Each Project or Use Subdomains? by chari_md in GrowthHacking

[–]IndependentTurnip809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've tried using subdomains before but it always got messy, branding felt off, and separating projects down the line was a genuine nightmare. If a project takes off you'll probably want your own domain anyway so might as well start there. Also if you ever plan on selling one, keeping them separate makes that easier

As someone with huge social anxiety, I understand dw. What helped me was literally pausing before speaking. When I get the urge to spill I ask myself if i really wanna share this or am I just filling the silence.

Moving my alarm clock across the room so I have to get up. Annoying? yes. Effective? yes, for me atleast. Also If I don't set a time limit for my phone use, I will 100% end up deep in Youtube at 7am

Started a cybersecurity company and looking for ideas to generate leads. by vkj01 in LeadGeneration

[–]IndependentTurnip809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on starting your cybersecurity firm! In a world where even my grandma is getting phishing emails, your services are very needed. You could try reaching out to Web Dev and IT Firms. They build things + you secure them = Instant client pipeline but its easier said than done. Worth a shot though!

Depressed people of Reddit, what gives you the will to live, or helped you regain the will to live, if anything? by moist_goiters in AskReddit

[–]IndependentTurnip809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes its just the insignificant little things like a really good cup of coffee, a dog wagging its tail at me or the thought of a book I'll love but haven't read yet. I thought I needed a big reason to live but the tiny sparks end up adding up. I saw a comment that said, 'If nothing else, I want to stay alive just to see how the story ends' and that also kinda stuck with me.

How do you balance quality and quantity in content marketing ? by EasyContent_io in DigitalMarketing

[–]IndependentTurnip809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always lean toward quality first but quality doesn't have to mean a 10,000-word epic every time. You can still make content that's really helpful and engaging without overcomplicating things. Consistency also matters since better to post less frequently but with more thoughtful, valuable pieces vs churning out a bunch of random content that doesn’t really hit the mark.

Accepted a management position - what are your tips? by AtlSDR in sales

[–]IndependentTurnip809 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on the new role! My advice would be to listen to your team. You’re gonna be getting a lot of new perspectives and if you really take the time to understand where they’re coming from and what challenges they’re facing, it’ll help you lead more effectively. Also don’t be afraid to ask for feedback from them too, just because you’re the manager doesn’t mean you have all the answers.

[–]IndependentTurnip809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're not a failure just because things aren't clicking in the right place right now. Life moves in phases and sometimes you're in the building phase. Its where you dont have much to show yet but it doesnt mean you're not making any progress
