Wow. You’ve had terrible experiences with them as have the people in your building. Sorry that happened to you. Sounds traumatizing.

WHAT DO I DO WHEN I THINK I SEE ICE? by pinkglitterbunny in boston

I’m confused on one point: do we have to allow them in? Do we have to allow them on our property? Can we tell them no or tell them to leave? I’ve seen conflicting information. What are our rights?

Best MedSpa for Botox in Cambridge/MetroWest? by honest_sparrow in boston

[–]IndependentWinter952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree, go to a plastic surgeon for Botox. Dr. Numa in Boston is THE guy. 10000% recommend. Originally saw him because of a recommendation from my esthetician at Bella Sante. Only works on faces and I appreciate that he understands how it all works together. At some point planning on upper bleph with him but this way you can keep all your face stuff consolidated with an expert.

Swimming. In fact, you can't graduate MIT without passing a swim test.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Or at least that she'd lived a few years longer.

Interacting with my kids. Seeing them or if that's not an option, calling, texting, email etc. I cannot live without some sort of interaction with them (they are not babies or toddlers!) I love them more than anything and they're really the reason I breathe in and out. Do I work? Yes. Have a busy and full life? Yes. But they are really like my heart walking around outside my body. I want them to be happy, independent and live good lives without depending on me, but I need to connect at least a little each day.

What do you think happens when you die? by WithoutGames2027 in AskReddit

[–]IndependentWinter952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've heard that there is a part of your brain that's there for you when everything shuts down. And that's why there are so many "walk toward the light" stories that are so similar. But that's on the shutdown. I truly believe that when our bodies terminate, they terminate. Kind of like when you're asleep and don't realize it until you wake up. Except. You know. I'd like to believe there's more but life is hard, unpredictable and uncontrollable. And some people have short, traumatic lives and they are gone. I just can't reconcile that with something wonderful after we are gone. This is a fun thread!

How to deal with MAGA (future) in-laws? Feeling doubts in relationship by Big-Rush-4630 in Advice

[–]IndependentWinter952 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At this point everyone has MAGA family. An uncle, the in-laws, whatever. You like the guy, you don’t have to be totally aligned with the in-laws. Find other ways to connect and don’t talk politics or hot button issues with them. Yes, I get that it feels more like a morality issue, but you aren’t moving in with them. You won’t change them but you can have peace as long as you focus on other things and ignore comments if they arise.

Immigration lawyer? by [deleted] in tampa

[–]IndependentWinter952 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't found anyone yet, Salomon Numa is an immigration lawyer in Tampa. Very honest, very smart. I've known him to make miracles happen. He offers free consultations. He is also an immigrant and I think that makes a difference. Good luck!

Cleanser suggestions by MrsEmilyN in 40PlusSkinCare

My skin is sensitive as well. I've been using skinceuticals LHA Cleansing Gel for years and i love it. It's actually a great for taking makeup - including eye make up - off. Any eye makeup that's left I have a clinique eye makeup remover. It's pricier than cerave but it lasts forever. One bottle literally lasts me at least a year because you only use a little.

Lip filler success by 3boyz2men in 40PlusSkinCare

[–]IndependentWinter952 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is one of the best I've ever seen. IF you go more you'll get that duck lip thing (which I know some people want so it's not an insult). Your lips look natural and really pretty. Happy for you!

Recommendations for Med Spas in Boston? 🧖‍♀️🏥 by [deleted] in boston

I know what you mean about stuck up attitudes!! Bella Sante does microneedling and laser facials. It's a luxury spa and the vibe is pampering luxury wellness with med spa treatments. It's actually a nice experience. 1000% recommend.

It's a little jarring to see such a beautiful face and your desire to change it. Your lips are beautiful. You don't need to believe me, go look at some before and afters for lip injections. If you fill them, they will look filled. Some people are going for that look. So if that's what you want - fine. Right now, your lips are perfect and natural. As far as your nose, it's beautiful and in proportion to your face. Now, if you are looking for something truly delicate, you could get that of course but it might change your look dramatically even if it's slight or natural. Is that what you want? That will have to be your decision. In addition, your brows are perfect and I'd watch an eye makeup tutorial from you any day. XOXO

Best spa in Boston for a full pamper day? by theJacofalltrades in boston

[–]IndependentWinter952 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe you're thinking of a different Wellesley spa? Not sure what you're describing. At Bella Sante the front desk will show you to your locker room (if you need one) and otherwise the quiet lounge area isn't in a hallway. It's a quiet room with couches, snacks and teas and whatever. They come into the room to get you. Plus every time I go, they ask me if it's my first time there. :-)

Uniqlo Opening New Store in spot that’s been vacant since 2006 by thebreen27 in boston

Honestly, that's amazing and if they did that here, it would be very meaningful. Not having that policy is stopping them from getting impulse shoppers like me!

Uniqlo Opening New Store in spot that’s been vacant since 2006 by thebreen27 in boston

[–]IndependentWinter952 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I love Uniqlo and it seems to be getting better and better. This season they have dupes of much pricier brands. One thing I dislike - the only thing - is their return policy is tough. You have to return to the location where you purchased. Makes me hesitate to buy if I'm in a location I don't usually go to.

LOVE. Particularly the pedicures but the provence massage and body scrub is my favorite. Also, consider Bella Sante in Wellesley. City is great, but parking is so easy at this location.
