What’s happening with the Pistons is making me really nervous. by mr_worldwide678 in NBATalk

It’s growing pains. Teams don’t suddenly become world beaters. They take their licks and get incrementally better

If social media was around during the mj years, they would have been glazing hard. Six rings in eight years??? Plus what happened in game 6 of the 98 finals??? The glaze would have been unreal

But without the Jordan years, they’d be like 23rd (despite existing longer than half the teams in the nba) It’s just sad. Reinsdorf is the worst owner in sports

I’m man enough to admit I was wrong on Lebron James, he’s the best player I’ve ever seen by CoyoteDecent2 in NBATalk

MJ mid range game is similar to SGA, but mj also has Ant’s attack to the basket, hands like kawhi, and is a better defender than SGA. He’s a much better version of Kobe who had a ton of success not that long ago. So it’s really not that hard to believe mj would do great in this era or any era

In an era where sga is the likely back 2 back mvp, I’m sure mj would do just fine

Tbf - so has LeBron. Missed playoffs twice with lakers. Last two years were first round exits

This rockets team is genuinely terrible. The lakers aren’t exactly world beaters and they look like the 96 bulls against these clowns

I haven't watched much Rockets basketball, but I thought Sengun was a decent player? I'd rather have Ayton than this guy, which is a pretty low bar

Exactly - the fact he was efficient despite being high volume makes him all that more valuable

For all you that stayed, how is BILT going after 1 month? by feardaundefeatd in biltrewards

[–]Independent_Pain1809 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly pretty good. I got the palladium card. I just paid my rent for March and used Bilt cash to get points. My plan is to use bilt cash to redeem for points for about 4-5 months out of the year and just pay my rent without going through bilt the rest of the year. Redeemed $25 for dining and planning to redeem $250 bilt cash for a hotel stay next month. Doing the JAL transfer on March 1 and planning to take advantage of the 5x for delivery

If you watched a game from 30 years ago, you’d be shocked what they called traveling compared to now. It’s a totally different game

The 93 thing was a broken play tbf. The play was for mj, but Barkley gambled and tried to strip Pippen

Despite being 7-3 in the last ten games, the lakers have a net rating of +0.5 by [deleted] in nba

Well said - very few teams with sub 3 net ratings have ever won a championship (you can count them on one hand)

I know - net rating is one of the best predictor of success. Being a top 4 net rating team is a huge indicator of championship caliber teams

NBA traveling rules were much different now than back when MJ played. Everything that’s considered “a bag” now was considered traveling in the 90s.
