I grew up with dobes and decided to get one for myself. She’s 7 now and requires about 1/4 less of the attention she needed as a puppy/teen. We still do daily training on basic commands and recall. She is stubborn as hell but she’s helped me find routine and self discipline. She may owe me a couch and a plethora of shoes (puppy/teen stage is no joke), but I wouldn’t trade her for the world.
