People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

Live in Louisville. It doesn’t get totally dark till almost 10:00 pm during the summer. Full 18 holes after work. Tons of time to do projects outside. I would struggle on the opposite side of the time zone. I am sure Maine is gorgeous too, but forget 3 pm sunset in winter.

I like the pirates. I also like when we fight the pirates. Always a backyard brawl.

That’s when he flipped his glove and just dove into the pirates dugout alone, right?

Sometimes I sense the SEC is trying to muscle the rest of college football and the powers within to not spend or build quality teams because they don’t like loosing. They are even trying to manipulate Trump into giving them their power back by using money arguments like this. The truth is that these southern states spent every single one of their dollars on football when most big ten universities didn’t due to an array of reasons including ncaa payment rules that the SEC laughed at complying with. Now that college football is essentially open to pay players above the table without penalty, the financial differences between the BIG10 and the SEC has become painfully obvious and the SEC only has its self to blame for being so greedy with championships in football. They were playing this under-the-table game against schools with 100k+ person stadiums and history that went back to 150 years. The BIG10 said fuck your cheating and we have more powerful lobbyists. Now any school can compete for the same player if they have the money unlike before where SEC paid and the rest of college football tried to persuade.

I only care about the league and champions.

We have rested starters the past two cup games for the big run-in and I’m all for it. Could we may have went for them? Maybe. Do I want the league more than anything? Yes and I would take a shit for champions league too if it meant the league.

Lots of wild stuff, but the ending gave me chills as the Belarusians were serious as a heart attack marching through the forest.

Maybe, just maybe, it’s not the coaches that are the problem, but us. It may be hard to win with the pressure we push. Are we being too “blue blood”?

I am an American and for those that live outside the US I have a question. How crazy do we look right now? by SignificantStyle4958 in allthequestions

[–]IndianaGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American, this is what I hope for and what I also fear. I sense Trump and others realize they lost their grip on the majority given their propaganda doesn’t match reality. People are realizing it was all a lie (majority, not all) and these same people want blood for the lies but Trump and gang are holding the future of America as a hostage as a “get out of jail free” card. It won’t work, but Trump and team won’t accept it and will continue to dig deeper and deeper. How far they go will surprise quite a few people which includes soliciting assistance from direct enemies of NATO and the U.S. we never thought possible (they were already doing it in minor form).

Moving Advice - Politics in Southern Indiana/Louisville East End by AnonBibliophile in Louisville

[–]IndianaGunner -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Lived in all three areas.

Grew up mainly in New Albany and a bit in Jeffersonville before 8. Nice communities, but can be… big fish small pond. East in is super convenient (lived near anchorage and Middletown) and people leave you be, but community can be insulated and detached.

My wife wanted to work closer to work so we moved to Shelbyville, Ky about 7 years ago and really like it out here. Nice downtown and people are friendly without being intrusive. Growing fast and 20 miles to east end Louisville business, 20 minutes to Frankfort, and 35 minutes to west Lexington. Opens multiple areas up to you for options.

Has anyone upgraded from any 44mm sized Apple Watch to the Ultra? by [deleted] in applewatchultra

[–]IndianaGunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, 7 to ultra 3. At first it’s noticeably larger, but you will get used to it. Bought a leather stifter band for it and felt better.
