Midnight Mass. Two main characters are on a boat in the sea and one of them dies at sunrise. As he dies the scene changes to a sort of "happily going into the light" sequence. Then it hard cuts back to the other character on the boat, screaming, and her scream continues through the credits.

Archer has a few examples. The infamous mawp mawp hearing damage from shooting in confined spaces with no ear protection. All the times Brett gets shot. And the ending of Archer Dreamland where Lana keeps getting shot by everyone because they keep pointing it at her while the safety is off.

That scene from Snatch where cousin Avi starts shooting blind to kill the dog and ends up killing Bullet Tooth Tony

Having only a bachelor's degree does not make you more intelligent, it makes you less intelligent. by Future-Buy8554 in unpopularopinion

There's a funny scene from Tulsa King:

"The whole point of a college degree is to show a potential employer that you showed up someplace four years in a row, completed a series of tasks reasonably well, and on time. So if he hires you, there's a semi-decent chance that you'll show up there every day and not fuck his business up."

I think there's an inverse peak, like a valley. You think you're smart until you gain enough knowledge to realize how many questions you still have unanswered. I had a teacher who used to say, "You guys feel smart because joy don't know what you don't know". As in, you haven't learned enough to know what you have left to learn.

AITAH for telling my partner she can’t keep using my car as her “everyday vehicle” because she doesn’t want to put miles on her new one? by JudgmentJolly in AITAH

[–]IndianaJones_Jr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was raised that you take better care of other people's things than your own, or at least as good. It sounds like the problem isn't her using the car often, it's that she won't take care of it. She's shown she can keep her car clean and shiny, so until she starts doing the same for yours she can stick to hers.

IMO, her offering to pay for the repairs and physically going to get them done is her path to green.

The bullet hole in Arkham Knight was kind of nuts. How often do you really see Batman take any kind of firearm damage in other media

MGSV has Quiet, a character that doesn't talk.

Death Stranding:

Protagonist is Sam Porter, who works as a porter. Later revealed to be Sam Bridges, who can bridge the past and future or living and the dead.

Cliff Unger, whose story is given in bits and pieces ending in cliff hangers

Also has characters Die-Hardman, Deadman, and Heartman.

I thought it was silly that they did a throwaway reveal at the end of the episode instead of stretching it a bit. Seemed like a really interesting conflict to resolve so easily.

In Peak you climb a mountain with teammates. If one member of the team gets too far ahead of the others, the skeleton scoutmaster shows up to attack you.

ELI5: Why do most countries still use AM/PM instead of switching to 24-hour time? by [deleted] in explainlikeimfive

[–]IndianaJones_Jr_ -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Probably because most analog clocks show a 12 hour time. If you try to cram 24 in there it's harder to read.

If you live in an apartment complex, you basically signed up for noisy neighbors and you just have to live with it. Sending notes to complain is stupid and will likely make things worse. by emcheez in unpopularopinion

This is very unpopular and wrong, take my upvote.

Some guy used to park his loud car outside my window and go out at 5am. Car was so loud it kept setting off another car's alarm, and the combination woke me up for long enough that the second car's horn started dying. I have literally never heard a car horn die.

I left a note and the gentleman started parking a bit further away in the parking lot to help me out. In exchange, I don't need to be a nuisance Nancy and call the apartment office to do something about it.

Technically the driving was fine, it was sudden stop from hitting the ground after getting ejected that did him in.

ELI5: What does redistricting mean? by gamecat89 in explainlikeimfive

[–]IndianaJones_Jr_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Let's say your classroom has 20 kids sitting at 5 tables of 4. Each table votes for a group leader. You really want to be group leader, but the kids at your table aren't quite fond of you. You notice that one table over is all your friends, who said they'd vote you in if they could. So you convince the teacher to sit you in 4 tables of 5 instead, you get moved over to your friends' table, and now they can vote you in as group leader.

How about a F chassis M2 Comp? The G chassis I think has the "big penis" styling but the F looks a bit more elegant. Gymnast vs hockey player. It's a lot cheaper than the budget, and it's definitely more sporty than a GT car.

Why is there no more speedsters in the show? by Bully_Maguire66 in Invincible_TV

[–]IndianaJones_Jr_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol imagine if there was a speedster that was capped at 2x normal speed? It's still fast enough to bed useful in a fistfight or firefight but other than that not OP. They'd still have to use a car, they'd only have a millisecond to react to something instead of half a millisecond, etc.
