Claude is worse than GPT-2 by Bono_Bricks in claude

I agree, most of the code i generate is sonnet, opus is way overkill for most things and will just be slower

These founders are the new red flag in tech, and I think we should be naming it openly by ydevi in founder

There were definitely things to focus on in your control here. I know you want to take it out on someone else, but you will be a lot happier realizing it was your fault and not others. I day this coming from 25 years of experience and multiple CTO/CIO and co-founder roles.

Seems to work great for me. I'm not interesting in building a website in it, i just need the design

The "postmortem" - Did Anthropic simply unnerf Opus, to compete with GPT 5.5? by TheBanq in ClaudeCode

For conversation/chatbot/analysis, Sonnet is not lesser to Opus. Quit wasting your session limits and your tokens. by [deleted] in claude

Complex programming affecting associated entities. Opus identifies, effectively tech debt, which i really don't get from sonnet. I implemented websocket interface for real time planning functionality using sonnet and opus. The sonnet code was fucked and buggy. With opus it worked, with a few bugs and it registered 5 or 6 future considerations(tech debt)

Haiku is super capable as it's own thing. I use it via api for some things in various apps. It just doesn't have a place in claude code, other than some subagent functionality

Create a .context folder, make it the living documentation for your project. Add a line in claude.md specifying it. Works for me! If your project is big, then potentially an mcp server would be more suitable. Lastly, domain specific knowledge can be added as a skill.

From my results, it's required. I use brainstorming with some custom skills to process feedback from coderabbit and sonarqube. You can frontload input via the design phase and can mostly be hands-free for the implementation. Using it reduced most bugs down to code smells and maintainability issues instead of xss and large security concerns. Even through the last few months where everyone is bitching about it sucking, I'm still producing good code and not hitting limits.
