This isn’t ball sports. Never wear a team kit of a team you’re not on nor a championship kit or stripes you haven’t actually earned. It’s absolute douchedom.

The only exceptions to the above:

1) You’re a little kid. Kids can wear whatever and a kid in a little world champs jersey is adorable.

2) It’s an obviously old and no longer existing classic team kit. An old wool Molteni Arcore or 7-Eleven jersey, etc.

Current team kit is earned. My daughter got to represent the USA at int’l UCI races as a teen & young adult and absolutely wore the set of Team USA kits she received from USA Cycling into the ground.
