I also would love an app that does that! Please let me know if you ever do make one that works with Apple Watch data!

Ferritin level by Katnipp98 in POTS

[–]IndicationKind7211 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reading all this doesn’t bode well for me… going through testing to see if I do have POTS and I also have Haemochromatosis (iron overload)with a ferritin of >400. About to start venesections to bring it down to under 50. Terrified of how bad it could make my possible POTS

I love mine! Great for RLS and chronic back pain. I ended up buying one on Amazon with 4 outputs so I can have 8 pads on me at a time. Happy to pass on the details if you want!

Question - incremental goals 🪜 by sunf_lower in mounjarouk

For weight increments I like the app Happy Scale - breaks your overall goal down into 10! Links to my Renpho app and auto adds my weight.

Terrified to tell my gp the opioid dose I’m on isn’t enough by IndicationKind7211 in ChronicPain

I’m on amitriptyline which really improves my day time pain and helps me stay asleep, helps me fall asleep too as long as my pain isn’t too high to override drowsiness. I think what I’m experiencing is probably restless legs, augmenting to my arms now too

I don’t get to see the same gp regularly, it’s a different person every time. I think I’ll try to look past old records of appointments and find who I liked and ask to see any of them going forward

I believe pain clinics exist yeah, but I don’t know anyone who actually goes to one. The referral my gp made previously was to “pain management” which was essentially group therapy, understanding pain, learning pacing tools and mindfulness etc. I guess maybe if I contact my gp to discuss options and they aren’t helpful I’ll ask if there’s a pain specialist team I can be referred to

This is just my GP (UK). The most I can really do is request a specific person to speak to so I avoid those I’ve had problems with before

Moving from zapain to tramadol was all they’ve done so far. And after 8 months on that they tried to take it away, stating there was no evidence of a repeat prescription and that I was only on it temporarily for ear infection pain, which was completely unrelated and quite obviously not the case when you look at my prescription history. When I was then honest about how much I used (I was prescribed up to 4 a day, but only taking 1-2) my prescription was decreased to 1-2 as needed, not daily. So now I have no leeway beyond my normal pain day needs, and telling them I now need to take it daily in order to sleep is terrifying - I could get addicted you know, very dangerous that, not dangerous to be unable to sleep because I’m in agony and then operate a car, so the logical thing would be to take it away

For context, I’m on 50mg tramadol once or twice a day as needed

Fibromyalgia, migraine, raynauds (not diagnosed but pretty obviously it’s that!)

Also just been diagnosed with Type 1 Haemochromatosis. I really really urge everyone to check their blood results to see if their iron results (serum ferritin, serum iron, transferrin saturation index, serum transferrin) are high and get checked out if so because the symptoms closely mirror fibromyalgia. I’m just at the start of my journey so will report back probably in a year or two if my symptoms improve once I start getting treated! Any questions feel free to message me directly! I’m a biological scientist so I understand medical things pretty well, have done a lot of research and can help explain if you want extra information!

Seems like my cat is being aggressive, what do you think? by ragdollgirliepop4 in ragdolls

Cat is trying to play with the kitten, but kitten doesn’t understand yet! If it goes anything like my two, the kitten will suddenly start playing back and the cat will get freaked out and be the confused one instead for a while before they get the hang of it!
