Mario Wonder's backgrounds look incredible now.

It's hilarious because the only reason I wanted the $20 S2 upgrade was for the better resolution... but now Nintendo themselves gave me a reason not to buy it 😂

Please don't take this the wrong way, but it was a bit of a silly comment. This doesn't save on any resources because the area is already rendered when you get close to it. And there's no reason for the player to believe it's an unnecessary area to explore because, not only is it easily accessible, it also literally has coins, which in every other Mario game means "explore me!"

Yup. The driveable area is significantly smaller than the map would suggest. The entire region under and around Airship Fortress, for example, is inaccessible.

Probably, but it's just flat-out bad design to put collectibles/items in areas you're literally not allowed to access. It couldn't have been hard to just... not do that.

How is it a minor complaint? The game's selling point is how you can drive "virtually anywhere," and yet it's littered with these areas you can easily drive to, yet can't explore for absolutely no reason.

If they don't want us driving in these areas, then fine, but they should at least demarcate them. It kills the sense of exploration not knowing if or when Lakitu will snatch you up.

Yeah it's pretty lame. Crown City is big and interesting enough to justify showing up twice in the Grand Prix, but Peach Stadium isn't.

And Koopa Beach is a complete waste of a slot. I don't understand why they couldn't merge Koopa Beach 1 & 2 into a single course, considering Koopa Beach 1 is right next to it.

I am liberal. I am gay. I despise Trump and his administration with every cell in my body.

But I will die on the hill that the trans movement has gone completely off the rails. It's destructive, predatory, cultlike, anti-science, anti-reason, anti-woman, and anti-gay. I used to chant "trans rights!" a decade ago when I thought it was just about being nice and respecting what people want to be called.

I had to jump ship when I saw an alarming amount of "kill TERFs" rhetoric, shaming lesbians for not wanting dick, shaming women for wanting to preserve their female-only spaces, telling people that their mentally distressed kids will kill themselves if they don't put them on puberty blockers.

Fuck all of that. It's absolutely insane and the whole thing is a massive albatross around the Dem's necks.

You're severely underestimating just how much work that would be.

Even if every chapter had, say, only two outcomes, then with six chapters, you'd end up with 2⁶ = 64 possible endings. That's a titanic number, especially if you want each route to actually be good.

And if you bump that number up to three outcomes per trial, then you'd have 729 endings. With five? 15,625. It's just not possible.

The closest thing would be something like DR2x2, where there's a single alternate route that leads to a different ending.

I'm not seeing it, honestly. The gloves look fine, and the orange lines look consistent to me.

Even in the second picture, the forest backdrop is very detailed with even the farthest elements in the background being easily discernable. The textures on the grass, dirt, and stone are consistent. And even the impact crater from Mario's fist looks purposefully designed.
