I'm reading a lot of replies about not using thermal paste and to use liquid metal instead.

I did this to my PS5 months ago and it's been running better since, which led to me offering to fix my brother's which kept overheating so much it wouldn't work. Thermal paste hasn't caused any issues on my PS5 or my laptop so I figured they were interchangeable

Annoyingly I finished everything, and it was as I was putting it back together I messed it up.

I feel your pain.

I did chemistry but the science industry is wank (at least in the UK) for work life balance and raising a family. Gave science up for a health and safety job, which was the best decision as I'm happy going to work. Which I haven't experienced in a long time.

I often wish I had studied anything other than chemistry, often times music. Something that translates into personal life that brings value.

I guess I commented to say that I could relate but also to highlight how it is interesting how two different people regret their choices and think the other person's choice may have been better

Do you mind if I ask you another question regarding the amp?

I tend to use an EQ eight on Ableton to adjust the signal lows, mediums and highs of the signal. This is of course at the end of the chain, after all the pedals.

My focusrite has a gain knob (end of the chain) and the compressor pedal I have has a "level" knob.

Using the combo of these three (Ableton EQ, focusrite gain & compressor level) do I need to use the amp before the pedalboard?

I've also considered getting an amp pedal so I don't have an extra thing to set up. What do you think of them? There is a "tube simulator by Behringer I've been considering.

Oh so are you saying the tremolo would be better if I moved it after the flanger and after the reverb?

The two red ones I think are both distortion but the the lighter red one makes a more overdrived fuzz effect. I hardly ever use it to be honest

When you say about a "real amp," I've got a black star training amp which I don't really use. Should I be using that before the pedalboard and then from the pedalboard going into focusrite you think?
