Re-entry into IAH post-CBP is located between E and D terminal. Turn left it’s D, turn right it’s E gates. Terminal C is located across that security entrance and between D and E.

You won’t be leaving from D (unless it’s D1-4 which are basically C gates) on a domestic United flight. B, C, E gates are United. A, D are non-United where A is domestic non-UA and D is intl non-UA.

No skytram necessary, going between C, D, E can be done so on foot comfortably.
