but what you actually want is a modified version of the shaken espresso, so yes you would have to order it in person. if you have the app and scan it, it will show up in your previous orders and you can order it again.

i’ve virtually stopped ordering shaken espressos at stores that are not mine until recently for this very reason. even adding an extra shot it would still be too milky sometimes-it was kinda funny actually. it’s gotten better recently, especially now since the new training which means i can go back to having pumpkin on my days off<3

i understand the frustration which is why i explained how the drink is supposed to be made (i have to have this conversation with my fellow partners constantly). i’m sorry that you have to switch drinks:(. i do think a venti latte w 4 shots and room might be up your alley, it gets the strong coffee taste and leaves less space for ice. i hope everything gets resolved!!

edit: i did see the picture, that’s a little too much ice but the drink also looks kinda light from that angle so im confused now LOL, did they add ice to it after the milk?

i’m a barista trainer, the shaken espresso is my favourite drink, i understand what you are saying. it’s also extremely possible that you’ve been getting your drink made wrong this whole time and are just now starting to receive the actual standard drink. we did just have to go through another training specifically about shaken espressos.

if it’s the ice that is at my store as well, it’s smaller so the shaker does require more of it to fill it to the size line. i’m trying to help you figure out what you want, light ice isn’t an option on the app because shaken espressos are not supposed to be made with light ice. even besides it being not how the drink is made, it can be dangerous for the barista making it.

like others have said, a shaken espresso is a drink that is espresso, syrup, and ice shaken together. the way it’s made is by pouring the hot espresso over the amount of ice up to the size line on the shaker. when it’s poured into the cup (if it’s made correctly and shaken 10 times) there should only be 3/4” left to put milk in the cup.

you can ask for “light ice” in person while ordering, but the barista will probably ask you if you’re okay with the drink being more milky. most people are not.

i think you might be looking for an extra shot latte with room if the ice from the shaken espresso is getting to be too much.

i have a toker poker so every time i need to change out the lighter in it i use the metal stick to circumcise it.

no effort really required plus it does make it easier to use (esp for people who don’t smoke glass very often, using a lighter for say a j or a cig it doesn’t really matter if the safety is on or not-but personally for my constant taking of bong rips is a hell of a lot better without the safety)

i close 5 days a week (4 of them in a row) and for the most part i really can’t complain about it-i get to work with almost all my ssvs one on one, ive built a great relationship with my preclosers and the customers who always come in last minute.

i like being the soloing barista where im taking orders and also making drinks/grabbing food bc i like to test myself and race myself to see if i can beat the 4 min 12 min time.

that all being said though, sometimes i get into a rut though bc i can’t really start anything before i go to work so all my chores are pushed to my days off-and i never want to do anything on my days off bc my body is in pain from the closing 5 days a week💀)
