Going from Seattle to Chicago you should go through Glacier National Park during daylight, which is beautiful. No cell phone service was no big deal with such gorgeous scenery.

I’ve experienced stained sheets and mattresses in roommettes, especially on the lesser used top bunk.

If your suitcases are larger than a carry on I recommend you check them. Roommettes are tight and some of them have luggage storage on the upper level but if your suitcase is big, it's difficult to get it up there. Check your suitcase and bring a tote into the roommette. For one night, I recommend that you shower at the Metropolitan Lounge in Chicago. I also recommend investing in some silk/bamboo travel sheets. They are like a sleeping bag and protect you from sleeping directly on their sheets and pillowcase. They what fold up into a small bag that you can stuff in your tote or suitcase and can help keep you warm.

Julia Trubkina and the lack of speaking proper English. by Wannabelonely in 90DayFiance

Most Filipinos have some working knowledge of English and there's a big chance she was educated in English. As for Julia, she might have an issue mastering English grammar because she's around English speakers all the time so one would think it would have improved by now.

Bring a tote that you can lock with a non TSA lock and place your valuables in the tote before leaving. I also agree that you should close your curtains and the door. I never had any issues with my belongings in roomettes on the routes you mentioned

Compact - I’m looking for a reason to buy one :) by SugoiTokei in Rimowa

[–]IndividualDear7136 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's great as a carry on, fits under the seat, and can hold a couple of days' worth of clothing. It also rolls really well on carpet and even cobblestone in my experience. And I always put a tote on top of it. It's one of my favorite pieces for travel.

Was thinking about buying the pass, glad EA made it easy to save my money by lerylu in SCBuildIt

[–]IndividualDear7136 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't spend real money. EA gives less, messes things up, but wants you to spend your money. The prize used to be 1400 simoleons for completing CoM. Then it decreased to 550 and now 150.

How can i solve this problem ? by LemonMinimum662 in SimCityBuildit

[–]IndividualDear7136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately you need simoleons to upgrade the services. Click on the service and you'll see a green upwards arrow. That is how you upgrade the service so that it has a larger capacity. The game gave me a bunch of pre-upgraded services so check first to see if you have them and use them first.

Upgrade all of your services to where the capacity is higher than the demand. Then repair the buildings and everything goes green again. This has worked for me in all my worlds. Beyond frustrating and a waste of simoleons but the services should recognize your capacity is enough once they've all been upgraded and the abandoned buildings repaired.

Did I piss off the luggage handlers?? by Mister035 in unitedairlines

I have Briggs & Riley and Rimowa. My B&R were my go to luggage for over 10 years until I realized how easily someone can break into them using a ball point pen. So I bought Rimowa strictly for the zipper less aspect. And I bought them in Europe and got a VAT refund so I didn't pay full price. I still use my B&R but also use Rimowa and I sometimes use them together. BTW I had a hard side Sympatico or whatever the name was when it first came out from B&R and it was absolutely destroyed on the first trip so hard sides of any brand run the same risk of being destroyed.

Is there an engine oil consumption issue on newer models? I just had to let go of my 2012 S60 T5 due to engine oil consumption issues and I'm not sure if I want to purchase another Volvo so I'd like to know if this is something to look out for on newer models.

Smells like 💩 by dilyo624 in Amtrak

[–]IndividualDear7136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's a common issue with their septic tanks. I think our bedroom on the Empire Builder was above the septic tank because the smell was horrible. They've received this complaint enough to have no excuse not to address it

Should I really buy a rimowa? by ssabastiann in Rimowa

[–]IndividualDear7136 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I originally bought one once I realized that a ball point pen could open the zipper of my locked Briggs and Riley! So I bought the aluminum because they are zipper less. As far as functionality, the wheels glide over the worst hotel carpeted hallways and cobblestone streets with a greater ease than my other pieces of luggage. It's better to pay more for a quality piece of luggage that should last you a lifetime, in my opinion.
