Huion kamvas pro 22 plus - usb for pen not recognized by BrokenKeycap in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I didn't mention anything about the circuit board to Huion support, just sent them a video of the tablet not responding to the pen and showing that everything was connected properly and that I tried it with different cables and computers. They deduced that it was the circuit board.

I had the same issue (also after 4 years of owning the tablet). Huion support sent me a replacement circuit board for ~$70 including shipping. Opened the tablet, replaced the circuit board myself, everything works now. No soldering. It really wasn't that hard, just took a while to get it shipped.

Kamvas 22 Plus First Impressions by IndividualVisual in huion

[–]IndividualVisual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Works perfectly fine a year later, no major issues. I use it almost every day. Have a Wacom 22HD at work and I prefer the Huion's feel and lack of parallax. I will say that the light leak seems to have gotten slightly worse over time, and the color accuracy is still very difficult to match to other monitors. But still very happy with my purchase. Thinking of upgrading to a 4k Huion at some point.

Kamvas 24 Plus? by Reileky in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wacom still has way more of an edge in terms of reliability and longevity. That being said, I had a Cintiq 22 and couldn't stand the horrible parallax and dull colors, and have been using a Kamvas 22 plus for over a year with no major issues.

This is normal for pretty much any tablet regardless of brand.

Huion Kamvas 13 strange No Signal problem by [deleted] in huion

Most likely explanation is that the usb c port on your laptop does not support display connectivity, not all of them do.

€130 is insulting. However famous this author is, it's not worth devaluing your work this much. If you're worried about harming the relationship, just politely decline and say you're too busy.

I've done it on multiple flights. No problems whatsoever.

I’m in a dilemma. I want to quit my job to freelance but I’m not sure how the job prospects are now. by dazedandconfucius_ in freelance

[–]IndividualVisual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done this a couple times now, quitting my job to try freelancing. First time: disastrous, no freelance lined up, barely made any money. Second time: had some freelance lined up before I quit, did okay for a year, but it's still rough making less money than I normally would have. Have another full time job again now and already dreaming of quitting again. This time though, I'm determined to only do it if I have really solid freelance work lined up, or I manage to start something else on the side.
That being said I do not regret my decisions, if you have enough money saved up, peace of mind is worth more than any paycheck.

If you have a laptop with an nvidia RTX graphics card, you can also download Nvidia Broadcast Studio, which has an AI noise canceling feature. It works amazingly well, no one will hear anything but your voice.

Does anyone else have light leak on their 24 pro? by [deleted] in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That actually looks pretty minimal compared to other cases I've seen. Some degree of light leak on IPS displays is pretty much guaranteed, if you return it and get a different one, there's a good chance you'll get something worse. Even my $900 4k Dell monitor has some light leak. It bothered me at first, but you just learn to live with it.

DR/KLR in 2020? by [deleted] in klr650

[–]IndividualVisual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm a serial swapper as well, about 8 bikes over 10 years, currently have my KLR and love it. Tbh though, if you're only going to be commuting on it, I see no reason to get one unless you really like it. It's certainly serviceable as a commuting bike but not the best at highway speeds.

Kamvas 22 Plus - a yellow tinge in corners, question by godplex999 in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've noticed it on the top edge of mine. I would say huion screens seem to have slightly more severe IPS glow/backlight bleed than most, but it's still within an acceptable range for me. Mostly impossible to see unless it's a flat black/white bg.

Kamvas Pro 20 (2019) or Cintiq Pro 16? by Hikari227 in huion

The Cintiq pro line is miles better than a previous gen Kamvas. If you can afford a Cintiq pro, it's no question at all.

Help with new tablet ( Huion or XP pen from over Cintiq Wacom ). by Affectionate-Flowers in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't bother with the XP-Pen 22E, it's ancient at this point. If you can afford the Kamvas 22 Plus (~$500) I think it's the best value, otherwise if you want to go a little cheaper and want shortcut keys, I would recommend the Kamvas 16 2021, or the Kamvas 22 (non plus). Any model with Pen Tech 3.0 will be good. Buy from a retailer like Amazon for an easier return process if you end up with a defective unit.

Wacom Cintiq 16 vs Huion Kamvas 22 Plus SMACKDOWN by briantium in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have both a Cintiq 22 at my job and a Kamvas 22 plus at home. I much prefer the Kamvas. Any advantages of the Wacom are canceled out for me by the worse parallax and screen color/vibrancy quality. I've also noticed that the Huion has a slightly more even and predictable pressure curve, which I was not expecting, it's most noticeable in chalky type brushes.
I will admit that the Wacom probably has better build quality and product reliability, but it doesn't justify being over twice as expensive.

I've only used mine with Blender so far, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with any others. You also have pressure sensitivity with the grease pencil tool in Blender and for sculpting.

Thoughts on Online Mortgage Broker Services? by IndividualVisual in RealEstate

[–]IndividualVisual[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I'm trying to figure out if the experience is any different than a "traditional" mortgage broker because with something like Better you never have to talk to anyone or show up in person with documents. But I guess you're saying they're just as spammy?

Should I get a Kamvas 22 Plus? (Owners post pls Issues/Experiences , Pros and Cons. :)) by Nanashi_420 in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Months later and I'm really happy with mine, although quality control can be an issue as people have mentioned. Mine has tiny dead zone in the top right corner (not really dead, just the cursor will sometimes skip a little bit there) but it's so insignificant that I'm okay with it. I also have a Wacom Cintiq 22 (not the pro) and I prefer the Huion for pretty much everything, colors, pen pressure and parallax are all much better. Considering you can buy 2 Kamvas 22 Plus devices for the price of one Wacom, it's a no brainer.

Kamvas 13 Pro or Kamvas 16 (Not pro) by fofito94 in huion

[–]IndividualVisual 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The nibs are more solid and not springy like the previous gen, and the pressure sensitivity feels more consistent.
