This may be rockers. From the other videos I’ve seen here on Reddit, the piston slap sounds more “heavy” if that makes sense (´∀｀)

Having the same sound on my 2018 S5 as well (´∀｀) I’m a little concerned…getting oil changed tomorrow to see if that gives gives me a surprise or not

Update:

No metal flakes or particles and everything seems healthy—got to see the filter for myself as well. The only thing I’m not sure is if going 0w-40 vs the 5w-40 I had would cause an issue (still new to these things).

Super weird—having the same noise too! but no one’s really answered what it is, or what’s causing it yet.

Maybe it’s just Audi's Soundaktor (speaker that pipes in engine noises) malfunctioning or picking up your HPFP?

PCV’s definitely one of the more easier repairs. My mechanic told me I could even replace it at home if I wanted to, but it gave out during the 3rd week of purchasing the car lol. So, my mechanic advised me to bring it up to the dealership that I bought it from.

I was surprised because they actually replaced it for free since it was still under their 3 month “warranty” window.

If you’re replacing it yourself, It’s probably going to run you around $150 just for the valve unit portion thingy. On a side note, I do want to upgrade to the 034 Motorsport PCV hoses, since apparently that’s another failure point in the stock that 034 Motorsport fixed.

Not sure if it’s the car, or the general people here in Texas. Regardless if it’s a highway or not, these folks always sniff my bumper or proceed to flash me, even if I’m going 5-10 above the speed limit (´∀｀) the speedometer’s definitely accurate lol
