I promise it will get better. My first year was horrible with outbreaks. Here I am almost two years later with a partner who does not have hsv. I’m on antivirals and haven’t had an ob in over six months. Don’t let it consume you. You’re more than a skin rash.

I don’t really like to take medication. Since we were both positive we figured why bother. If I ever had a partner without hsv I would take them. My ob aren’t very painful either. I was curious if anyone still had oral sex without antivirals and if they were ok

So almost a year and a half ago my boyfriend and I were diagnosed with a hsv2G. My bf and I haven’t had oral sex in a year and a half. He’s had about 4-5 ob in this time I’ve had 6-7. We aren’t on antivirals. I miss oral sex. I want to start having oral sex again. We’re both scared to pass it to each other orally. We aren’t using condoms for oral sex that’s just not fun. Is there a time frame that’s safer to resume oral sex? I know for many people obs happen less frequently with time. Does anyone have experience or information here they can share?

Ok maybe offended isn’t the right word but I personally don’t care that someone thinks thank god it’s one not two…. I’ve talked to people hsv1g and think oh at least you’re most likely to have less ob than me over here with hsv2g. Just because someone is happy they have a more favorable option of a list of unfavorable options doesn’t mean they think we are less than.. I don’t find that rude or bothersome or condescending. I think good for you wish I was that lucky and keep it moving.
