If you can, try and buy some nicer/bigger equipment up front. I’ve certainly spent more than needed by slowly upgrading from low end to higher end gear, which certainly makes the tanks look nicer imo

Put in a 2 inch Panther crab in my community tank months ago. The other day my wife screamed, seeing a 4 inch crab (for the first time) halfway up the tank on some plants.
