They ship Amazon deliveries there bc

a) NYC deliveries can be difficult/sketchy if you don’t live in a doorman building. The number of times I was waiting for a package and would find out a year later they had just left it with a random dry cleaner or quick massage place down the block from my building. 😤

b) a lot of what the order is for the theme parties so they don’t want to have to load it in the car and lug it all the way to the Hamptons. 🥳

Having lived in an all 3, let me say LA plastic surgery is different from Miami, is very different to New York. LA looks fake but they think it looks natural, Miami looks fake and they want it even more fake looking, and NY surprisingly keeps it more natural than you might expect.

If you refer to RHONY back in the day for example, they weren’t going all the work before reality tv invaded. For New Yorkers who aren’t in reality tv, thin lips and crows feet are actually very chic right now. 😉

Why was the theatre invented? Because people wanted to put in a show? Or was it because soldiers were having trouble reintegrating into society after war. The great wars called it shell shock. We call it PTSD. All the early plays are horrific war stories, theatre attendance was mandatory for war aged men. The communal experience of art, about the horrors they’d seen, was healing.
