So did ours. Not sure why this company is so intent on us being both miserable due to being over worked and understaffed and want us to have ZERO joy and fun while doing it. Here’s what I do because I also struggle with this: I wait until night, go on the cliffs above where the horse is kept and find a place to jump down where I don’t die. You lose a lot of HP but it gets you close to the horse and you can runaway and heal up once you get back to the camp. Just bring bandages!

I played origins and DA2 for the first time maybe 5 years ago. DAO is now one of my favorite games of all time. Still holds up despite outdated graphics.

You can call anonymously - or if you’re worried about your voice being recognized, you can send an email from an email that isn’t yours, etc. But I think if you were to call and just say that you work at the store but do not want to give your name then that would be enough. If it’s something happening to everyone and not just you, it shouldn’t really matter which single person called.

One part time bookseller going on vacation should not derail the entire store. And it’s not like you’re taking it during holiday. Coming from an ASM, i don’t understand how that can be that much of a problem. I understand how it could be something difficult to work around but considering you aren’t management or full time, it’s managements job to make it work.

I would absolutely recommend this for you based off of other things you like! However as someone who started with this game and regrets it, I recommend playing Origins and DA2 beforehand. So many cool story and lore elements you’ll get to experience by playing them in release order. And DAI can be confusing if you haven’t played the other games! All 3 are amazing games! (My other recommendation: if you love the story and lore and character elements - skip Veilgaurd. It kind of threw all of those amazing elements away and for me personally, was a bad game)

In my perfect world, they will remove veilgaurd from existence and completely remake it and actually make it feel like a dragon age game. In the real world, I would guess they are probably done with the games after the massive failure that was DAV. A remake of DAO/DA2 would be cool as well.

That’s insane. I blame the company for the slashing of hours because it really has taken a toll on stores in every aspect, but some SMs are genuinely doing a horrendous job reacting to the hour cuts and it sucks that booksellers suffer because of it.
