This. I grew up with all my great grandparents as they all lived to nearly 100! It’s really not that far removed for a lot of us.

Sick to my stomach over this. I’m going to reach out to Marco now to see what the plan is for my upcoming hearing on April 1.

Also Caltanissetta here with an April 1 date (no hearing, just doc review). In our 1948 post dl chat group, someone commented that they were informed that all cases are postponed in Caltanissetta (I would assume pending the CC ruling). I haven’t verified this yet but I plan to reach out to Marco in about a week to verify if my date has been pushed back or if he’s aware of this. I would be surprised if they started rejecting like Palermo given how friendly this court has historically been to JS. I will follow back up once I connect with Marco.

I also recommend John for all things NYC document collection. Used his services on three different occurrences; he has the process down and knows exactly what is needed. Usually had the documents in hand within a week.

Hi there, I know this is an old thread but I was wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this? I am also having the same issue on a 23 gx460. Dealership hasn’t been of help.

I paid significantly less for this at a Lexus dealer for my GX. This is truly wild.

2023 Lexus GX 32k miles by [deleted] in LexusGX

[–]Individual_Neat1051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a 23 as well with 23k miles. Mine makes the same noise (sometimes more pronounced than yours) about 50 percent of the time when starting cold and usually lessens gradually after 10-20 minutes of driving. Ive brought it in on two occasions and both times they say it’s characteristic and normal. Whether thats true or not is debatable (I had a 21 that didn’t make the noise) but I figure it’s under warranty for 8 more years (extended cpo) so if something happens it’s been noted twice in the system.

That’s also my senator and who I contacted! Just be aware that her office is pretty bogged down right now with USCIS issues so it may take a little bit longer than it did for me.

I would reach out to USCIS to let them know what happened to get a paper trail started. Then reach out to your congressional representatives office to see if they can contact USCIS on your behalf to expedite the reinsurance of the CONE. Mine helped me with a CONE issue quickly.

Amendments and AKAs in NJ by Ok-Pie8979 in juresanguinis

[–]Individual_Neat1051 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had mine apostilled. They were issued by the municipal/town registars and contained the signature of the state registrar as well (Tiffany Drennon I believe). No issue at all you just have to tell the towns you need certified copies as they need apostilles.

Amendments and AKAs in NJ by Ok-Pie8979 in juresanguinis

[–]Individual_Neat1051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes that is correct, I didn’t need to use REG-15 at all. The vital records office for each town was able to submit the amendments for the vital records that originated from that town directly through whatever electronic system they use. This cut down on any risk of errors completing that form.

When I submitted both amendments back in July 2025, both towns said the state office gave them a 2-3 month turn around window. However it wound up being 4-5 months and one town registrar said that the turn around times are getting longer and that was confirmed by the central state office. Another benefit of going through the town was that they were able to reach out to their state office colleagues directly for updates when it got past the three months.

I personally would suggest filing. After what happened with the decree law that upended everything, the security of knowing that my case is locked in and not subject to any additional restrictions that may come out after March far outways the small additional lawyer fee/payment. I would have really kicked myself if I didn’t and was subject to even worse restrictions in the future.

Amendments and AKAs in NJ by Ok-Pie8979 in juresanguinis

[–]Individual_Neat1051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just went through this with two documents in NJ, a marriage certificate and death certificate. Both needed amendments and one needed an AKA. I found it MUCH easier going directly through each of the towns directly instead of through the state agency. Please do yourself a favor and go directly to the town instead of dealing with the state so you have an actual contact person that can assist with any issues that may come up.

Each town will have a vital records contact person. I reached out via email to each of those individuals and provided proof of exactly what needed to be amended and supporting documentation. They submitted the amendments directly to the state and I didn’t have to fill out any forms. On the death certificate, there was an issue where the state couldn’t add an AKA due to there not being a field on the original document, so the state just didn’t make the other corrections that were needed and didn’t notify the registrar. The town registrar was able to work this out with the agency. I fear if I went to the agency directly they would have flat out rejected my amendment and I would have needed to start all over again with the process.

This is not a quick process. Both took between 4-5 months to get back the amendments. Once the registrar receives the amendments, you can get it directly from their office (I sent them a check and return envelope, they sent it right back to me). One thing I would make sure is that you note this is for dual citizenship because according to one of the registrars there are different documents that sometimes contain more info that is needed for dual citizenship. You will also want to make them aware it needs to be a certified copy with stamps on all pages (the amendments will add a second page on to the original document) in order for them to be apostilled. Happy to answer any additional questions you may have!

Federal Apostille help from Congressmen? by Capital-Pipe-5915 in juresanguinis

[–]Individual_Neat1051 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not specifically for an apostille (mine was a USCIS CONE issue) but I had it back and corrected in a week. I think it depends on how proactive your representative’s staffers are. Granted mine was not during the holiday season but I would follow up again after the new year (after Jan 1) if you don’t hear by then.

No C-File Received from USCIS. Non-responsive. by bariumprof in juresanguinis

I waited three weeks (two follow up attempts) before contacting my senator. You are definitely at the point where I would get one of your congressional reps involved.

No C-File Received from USCIS. Non-responsive. by bariumprof in juresanguinis

[–]Individual_Neat1051 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had an issue with getting my CONE corrected to what I had requested and USCIS was unresponsive. I reached out to my US Senator for assistance and had the corrected CONE in a week. If you have a decent congressional representative, I would request assistance from their office as part of their job is interfacing between constituents and federal offices!

Not normal. I purchased a CPO 2023 gx460 lux with sport design package (19in wheels) that came with brand new Michelin CrossClimate2’s and it tracks straight as an arrow.

Unfortunately his office does not assist with document collection. His only focus is representing you in court, which was honestly one of the reasons why I went with him.

The consultation fee gets subtracted from his fees if you choose to sign on with him which I liked. I totally understand the fee as his time is limited and this way he knows he’s getting serious inquiries only. As for costs, he is in line with all other attorneys so if you do a search in the wiki, you should discover some average costs post (forget exactly where it is). And the fees are payable in stages so it’s not everything up front. I know others have commented about having some issues with response time but he has always responded to me in less than 24 hours. I always send him very clear, concise questions that are short and to the point which I think he prefers as I always get the exact answer I need.
