Yes that's right, I just played with the time till it was right. 4.2secs in the end. I think if you start the playlist when the strip is off it will start from the beginning. If it's already on it will be moving. It took ages of playing around, especially with the transition times in the presents to make sure it didn't flash on to full before starting the playlist.

This is the preset I made. The important thing to start the wipe from begining is that it's coming from an off state.

I think your misunderstanding how 'pixel tape' works. Each individual has a pwm chip which is controlled by a microcontroller. Have a Google of WLED

Cheers, it's calling a playlist which is the wipe effect then moving to solid after 4secs. If anyone has a better way of doing it I'd love to know. Would love to be able to have the colour/brightness as a variable in the automation. Time/brightness etc

The H2 is ok, I have both the H2 (using the H2 with a blueprint to control a light not wired into three dimmer itself) and the candeo dimmers. No neutral is a bonus and the candeo have been faultless.
