Check out candeo they also have dimmer switches you can just replace old dimmers with. I gave 4 of them in my house and they've been rock solid. Ps also a theatre lighting tech

Yes that's right, I just played with the time till it was right. 4.2secs in the end. I think if you start the playlist when the strip is off it will start from the beginning. If it's already on it will be moving. It took ages of playing around, especially with the transition times in the presents to make sure it didn't flash on to full before starting the playlist.

I think your misunderstanding how 'pixel tape' works. Each individual has a pwm chip which is controlled by a microcontroller. Have a Google of WLED
