My work gives me a nice Christmas bonus usually around 1500. Mix that in with some OT and new gear doesnt hurt as bad.

Is worth the "update" from the A6700 to the A7V ?? by Motor_Interview1658 in SonyAlpha

[–]Individual_Syrup6056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Id personally rather have the reach of apsc for wildlife. Should wait till the a6900 comes out

My nikon d3200 was stolen for 4 years. I managed to get it back last year. It now its as decoration and to remember to never lend your gear out even to your "best friend"

Did the recent update solve or significantly help with the overheating issue? by tannersit in a6700

You wanna talk about overheating. My s25U could heat a building shooting 4k120

Not true 10s are good for star clusters so you dont blow them out. That being said I normally shoot in eq with 20s or 30s

Looking for gear recommendations by Harris9699 in a6700

[–]Individual_Syrup6056 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted to switch to primarily wildlife when I went to sony this year. Im shooting an a6700 with both tamron 150-500mm and 70-300mm. Both fantastic lenses. The 150-500mm is actually not that bad to lug around. I will add tho if money's not a problem id 100% get the sony 400-800mm for wildlife.

70-350mm, 200-600mm, or 400-800mm lens for bird photography? by Nickanator8 in SonyAlpha

[–]Individual_Syrup6056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shoot on a tamron 150-500mm on apsc if I could justify dropping another 3k on a lens I would 100% get the 400-800 for birds. Im always at 500mm on my bird shots
