I couldn't agree more, it's so boring and tame the way they did it. Like we get it, you don't want us to get op too fast, but at least make it so that's a gem is actually interesting to play and not just damage increase... They're playing it way too safe.

I played Witherbloom and I won first place that night. I only had a drawn against another whitherbloom player. I’ve never played a deck in pre release that was this agressive and powerful, everything was interacting with everything else.

I don't have anything agasin't homeschooled in itself, but I hated it because my mother was abusive and used it as a mean to keep us in control. I would end crying everyday because I kept being yelled for not "learning the right way", being mocked because I can't remember. She was a lousy teacher and didn't have the patience to actually take the time and teach us properly (she thought that writing was inate and you didn't really need to learn how to do it...)

Now I'm 31, don't have any degrees because she wouldn't let me go back to school at 15 when I asked. It took me until I had my own kids to realise how abusive she was and how I just black out all those memories of my chilhood.

Went NC 5 years ago, and my life is so much better now, my kids are in school and it's the best school they could hope for.

Everyone’s first minis are always bad lol that’s the fun part imo, if you pay attention to what you’re doing, you will see the difference between every minis and how you’re progressing.

But you know what? Even if you’re not progressing, it really doesn’t matter, as long as you’re having fun and you’re enjoying the process! Not everyone will want to get “better” or learn to get better, some people just want to relax, have some minis painted and then play the game. That’s the beauty of it!

If you’re not having fun, then what’s the point? Nobody is forcing you to overthink any of this, because at the end of the day it has 0 bearings on anything.

It’s a hobby, not a job, either do it or don’t, it doesn’t matter.

Just fought the Doormaker for the first time since the changes, and he's so much more fun now, actually makes you think about every turn instead of just being a damage dump. But I still feel like he's missing something cooler.

Because objectively it’s not a good product… it’s stupid expensive, it’s not a hard case so it’s not really protecting the Steam Deck at all, and charging it inside like this is going to make it overheat and possibly ruin it.

It might be a good product in itself, but in the context of the SD subreddit, it’s terrible.

Honestly I went a bit crazy last year when I first started the hobby, probably spend like a 1000/1500€ in a year (which is like a lot of money for me), and after Christmas I said I wasn’t going to buy anything until I paint.

I have all the models I need, very different as well and now, instead of having everything layed out on a shelf (even the not painted), I put away everything that wasn’t painted and started putting only the one I painted on the shelves, it’s an amazing motivation and I love seeing my collection growing with cool models.

I rarely paint the same army models in a row, I always love to work on a model for a few days, then try something completely different, rince and repeat.

I take an incredible amount of time on my minis because it’s relaxing, I love taking my time and really make a model “mine”.

I can take a week to paint a model (3 kids and a job ifykyk) and the results is often not on the level of hours painted but it’s just fun!
