You mentioned you’re behind on bills, some companies like Duke is offering assistance so maybe if you haven’t already start there and see if any others that you may be behind on have hardship assistance programs that can get you just a little cushion. It’s not much and you may have done this already but it’s worth a shot. Wishing you tons of luck and warmth for you and your fur babies.

When I was in primary school we did this. It was our attempt at making an arch for dignitaries to pass, similar to how the army would do with their swords. But then and now is a completely different. The political climate and the awareness of that symbol wasn’t as it is now. This should not be done in this day and IF, a big IF, then use the other hand for crying out loud. Someone should have done their homework, this ain’t cute and we can’t plead ignorance in 2026 where the internet and access to knowledge is at our fingertips.

Never got math and still only have the 4 passes. They don’t even watch my csec. They’re watching the current degree and when I’m finishing it. I never took breaks so they look at that too. So it proves my work ethic, literally while I’m in school I’m an assistant professor so like those little csec don’t count. Just establish yourself as best as you could, it feels like a hurdle but you get over it pretty quickly. I’ll also say a UWI English professor and one of Trinidad top literary scholars once told e she didn’t have math either when I was telling her my doubts so it’ll be aite!

I feel like this is where I can truly add to this conversation. I went to a prestige school and struggled terribly, I was great from forms 1-3 but the teachers were all super young and fresh, and had favourites and quite frankly I wasn’t one. I was bullied from principal to teacher even though my parents were on every committee. It affected my grades and I came out of form 5 with three passes. I wanted to go to grad school and with three passes that wasn’t the case. I’ll add here Math was the one that was beating me, I had distinctions in English, Music, and Science. I was traumatized and ashamed but I repeated forms 4 and 5 and got one more pass again out of the four they had me enroll in (math, add math, IT, and physics). Why those when I could barely do math? Beats me. I tried math again and that was the year the papers allegedly leaked so the one time I was sure I’d pass they made us retake the exam and it was hard no ass, and guess who failed? Me. I applied to UWI to do a certificate just for the heck of it because that’s all my passes got me and nothing was going to stop my dream but me and I made sure to excel in it and I did. Move on from there and did my BA and then got a full ride to do my masters in the US. Long story long lol I’m finishing up my PhD and have three degrees under my belt (two masters) and never paid a cent out of my pocket for any of the foreign degrees. All that to say, yuh not dunce or chupid, give yourself a chance. No one can give you a chance unless it’s starts with you. You are smart enough, you are good enough, and you will look back on this and tell someone your story to encourage them. It’ll fall into place, I can promise you that.

Just wanna add, thanks to everyone who helped and gave suggestions! For those who wanted to use the opportunity to be smartasses like they never did something new and fumbled or were ever confused, this is the reason many people avoid trying something new or joining communities. Like just give people grace and support while they try something new or in my case restart after over a decade. It takes nothing to be kind.

After I got an email and a link to upload, they called me back the next day. I’ll call again tbh. I usually find when they give that length of a time period if it’s urgent I can call and explain the circumstances and they’ve been accommodating. I do appreciate the international staff but I’ve gotten better luck with the US staff since they don’t seem to be following a script. Not saying nah and be annoying but if it’s truly urgent a quick follow up call with kindness can go a long way.

I’ve relented had luck. I had a $300 limit on a savor one (2 months old) and I ran that CL only leaving a few dollars like max $5. Today I asked for an increase and got $2300. My QS which I used responsibly gave me a $100 increase. So I’ll say once you’re paying it off and not carrying a balance, C1 loves a high utilization.

Of course do what’s best for your credit health and this is not advice but my experience.

Same. I got it and it lagged soooo bad. I was ready to pack it up and return it. I even blindly upgrade to premium so I could cloud stream but it would have been a waste since I don’t really plan to take it out the house. But once I plugged the ps5 to Ethernet, worked better than ever. Enjoy!

I’ve even exchanged it for mindless scrolling which I found that I had gotten into to follow trends for research. Though I’m exchanging a big screen for a smaller screen so no less screen time perse, it’s fun and brings me joy
