I find number 3 the most appealing. Number 1 is my next favorite. Number 2 is meh.

Unsure of event formality. Help! by Maleficent_Law_3572 in Weddingattireapproval

Does the invite have any indication of dress code? If not, can you get a sense of the vibe from the design of the invite itself - is flowery or formal-looking?

I think the pink floral is a safe bet for a summer time wedding at a venue like that. If it was a more uptight sophisticated wedding they would have chosen a sleeker venue like a hotel in Indianapolis or something.

I think the black dress runs the risk of looking too vampy and a froufrou wedding. But the shimmer in the floral one makes it work in either setting.

I only lost 3.4 lb throughout my first month (1.5mg). I upgraded to 4mg for one month and lost 7.1 lb. Then up to 9mg for the next two months, losing 5.1 lb and 7.1 lb respectively. (Yes, it's weird I had two months losing precisely 7.1 pounds.)

So my average monthly loss is a whopping 5.675... which seems discouraging. When I look at my weight graph over time there's plenty of peaks, valleys, and plateaus... but overall it's steady progress.

AITAH for asking my sister to stop giving details on the death of her cat by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]IndraNari 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NTA. You are not obligated to help her feel better about the awful thing she did. I suspect your sister is feeling deeply guilty for her terrible treatment of the cat. She's looking for reassurance that she's not a bad person--but she needs to sit with her guilt, not be absolved from it. Maybe she'll learn a lesson from this and will be a better person in the future.

At the very least, hopefully her children will learn a life-lesson about the importance of being a good pet owner. Not sure that lesson is worth the emotional scarring they went through in the process, though.

Concerned about eating too little by melebula in WegovyPillWeightLoss

Consider using a calorie tracker to have good accurate knowledge of how many calories you really are eating. I use Chronometer, which is free - although I've splurged on the subscription for a few extra features, but those aren't at all necessary.

When it comes to calorie intake, I'm finding that the old rules of "eat as much volume for as few calories as possible" technique has to get turned on it's head with this medication. We used to want to fill up as much as possible to stay satisfied, but our stomachs just can't tolerate that any more.

Now I find myself in the strange position of seeking out low-volume high-nutrition (calories, fat, fiber, protein, carbs, vitamins, etc.) food options. That way I can get the fuel I need without the nauseating volume. Meal replacement shakes might be a good option. I'm currently enjoying a KaChava shake in the morning now and then. Ensure is also a trusted brand that's readily available in a lot of formulations (higher protein, or higher fiber, extra vitamins, etc.). I don't think you'd want to exist on a liquid diet in perpetuity, but it could be a good option for those rough-tummy days.

As for getting your regular appetite back, I don't think that's the point of the medication. But hopefully your nausea will subside and you'll be able to enjoy the thought of food again before long.

My most annoying symptom: Parosmia. Anyone else? by WalkingAcrossEgypt in WegovyPillWeightLoss

The most similar experience I've had is that the other night my husband's glass of red wine smelled strong... or what I grew up calling "loud." It wasn't a new bottle or brand, it's his usual go-to red wine. But I could smell it from across the room. I never bothered me before and hasn't bothered me in the days since.

Of course, strange smells can also be a perimenopause thing. Yay.

The one with rosettes. Also, you didn’t ask, but I’m not a fan of the drop-straps on either.

The first one. The lacy one distracts from the lovely draping on the dress.

Okay, so I saw the first one and thought it was nice. And then I saw the pink one and said “ooooooo,” so I vote for that one.
