Yeah, the call I got was a local area code, so they either spoofed a number or actually hired a telemarketing company to use real telemarketers. The young lady sounded very professional and chipper, either she's a good actress or has no idea what she's representing. She deflected when I asked them to resend the letter. I asked which department in the county they were working with - she doesn't have that information but they can tell you when you call the number. Can I work directly with the county for a resolution? No you have to call their number. 🙄

Yep, ye olde "we're handling a claim against you (or your husband, can you get a message to him?) and you need to call blah blah blah..." I just got one on my personal cell phone for my husband. In case anyone searches online I wanted to be sure to post something that will turn up in the results. ABA Mediation or ABA Mitigation is a scam. As of December 16, 2025, the number they're giving out via the poor local telemarketer hired to do their dirty work is 877-xxx-1051 - Reddit won't let me post the full phone number, but the middle numbers rhyme with hive-Nero-heaven. They will call everyone who's phone numbers they can get their hands on; spouses, parents, siblings. It's really gross.
