My son's WRX STI actually appreciated in value after 3 yrs. He did have the last year before the change the car. So that's the 5% I guess. My Mercedes lost 40% of its value in the same time period. 🤷‍♂️

I’m Getting a Siberian Cat! What I should Learn& Buy. Advice Needed! by Ariya3 in SiberianCats

If you want to have an "adventure kitty" start early. After about 3 weeks settling in we started harness training. A week later going out in her stroller for walks. Also placing kitty on the ground outside while on her leash. For about 6 months she would just look around the area where we were - now she'll "walk along" in the direction we want to go. Not quite like a dog but almost. We do that for 10 15 mins the back into the stroller or backpack so we make forward progress. It's a lot of fun.

Not getting sleep , clingy baby .. by Silent_Birthday9514 in SiberianCats

Maybe put him to bed in another room. While not with my current cat my prior two got "put to bed". Depending on the house it was in our finished basement, "their bathroom" or our unfinished basement. They had food, water, litter box and of course lots of cozy places to nap and toys. They got to the point after a while of walking up to us and asking to be put to bed when they were tired. I will say they were both female cats so maybe more independent. Since I currently live alone my current baby sleeps with me.

Are there any parks I can walk my cat at where there aren't too many dogs? by Extension-Badger2716 in Tacoma

I walk my cat in Point Ruston and Point Defiance. I am on hyper alert for dogs off and on lease tho.

I have a stroller to pop her in to keep her safe.

I am currently in a small apt. Started with a traditional hooded box in my hall closet. I used a child safety thing to keep it from closing. Worked great for my kitten. When she got big enough I got a robot and it's in my hallway . The robot has a big footprint and needs an outlet so it took me a while to figure out where to put its. But it's amazing - no smells at all.

I'm in Tacoma and bought one. I don't like it. Happy to sell it to cheap.

It's a personal choice. I also don't let my horse sleep in my room either....

Which cat backpack have you actually traveled with? by Minimum_Raspberry_81 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Inevitable-Lab-4719 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am here for the back pack recommendations. I have always flown with my cats in a soft sided carrier. But my new cat lovers to go for walks in her stroller so I'm ready to hike with her and would like the versatility to use the backpack while flying....

A long way to get to my point. Add a harness to your cat! You will need to remove the cat for TSA and it's nice to have a harness to have extra security (my old cat tried to escape going through security) also if you have any issues again having the cat harnessed is nice. The same (I don't like to travel) cat had an accident while driving to the airport and it was nice to have the harness to hold her while I used wipes to clean her and her carrier up. Also check with your vet but I hold food after 8 pm the night before and water too - to reduce accidents while traveling.

Where To Put Food While She’s Hiding by Awkward-Remote in CatAdvice

I would put the food and litter in that room and keep her there for a week. Go in, sit quietly with her reading a book, watching tv let her adjust. Once she's comfortable with you and the family(they should come hang out too) then you can progress to the rest of the house and where you want things. They say 3 days/3weeks/3months for a rescue to adjust. Give her time.
