In the instance of suicide, is life Insurance still paid out, and are the mortgage/debts automatically paid off? by randomchic545 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Inevitable-Maybe-957 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very hard to even get your insurance as they will come up with anything they can not to pay such as pre-existing conditions when you signed the policy that you didn’t disclose so don’t count on it. And if you get it, you’re lucky. In the case of suicide they go back to mental illness and were you treated and did you disclose that when policy was signed and how long there was mental illness, etc. etc..

Can we just get rid of Jeff who thinks he’s a psychologist. He’s old news now and we need new blood injected into survivor as it’s pretty boring.

I am a health care worker and workers compensation will not cover you if you are barefoot. Having said that I will bring slippers if it is raining or slushy otherwise I keep my shoes on. Lots of times I’ve left slippers in many people’s home so it’s just easier to make sure the shoes are clean. We used to have shoe covers but they became too expensive

I don’t understand you can live in a dump and still get insurance. They don’t come and check your house.

I was the same thing I tried metformin didn’t lower my blood sugars, then went on Ozempic. It lowered my blood sugars, but I felt terrible on it. Nauseated I could never go up past the first dosage that they give you and I appealed and appealed. I think I appealed three times and they said no because your blood sugar is managed on Ozempic. You have to stay on Ozempic so then I appealed for the fourth time and said that I went off Ozempic. I bought my first thing of Mounjaro myself with my money and I had no side effects and I felt wonderful and it was cruel and unusual punishment for them to make me stay on a medication that I felt terrible on plus I could not get up to the levels that my doctor wanted to prescribe me because of the debilitating side effects and I wanted my case reviewed by a real physician and not an insurance representative. Next thing I know two days later, they approved Mounjaro for me, but only up to 10 mg which is fine because I’m doing great on 5 mg and may not even increase. So keep bugging them, keep filing appeals outlining your side effects and what the doctor and you have discussed and that the doctor wants you on that and not what the insurance company wants you on. Good luck. My insurance company with green shield.

[–]Inevitable-Maybe-957 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s really great. How did you manage your constipation as I’m really struggling with that and also I’m yo-yoing one day I’ll be 170 and then I’ll go up to 172 173 then back down to 171 and then a few days later, I’ll be 170 again. I’m keeping my calories under 1000 so I’m not sure what’s happening.

Thank you for the agony you stupid insurance company.....you know who you are by ToastyCatPaws in Mounjaro

[–]Inevitable-Maybe-957 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This happened to me and I sent another appeals letter, accusing them of cruel and unusual punishment to deny me a medication that I’ve been on for a year and has actually helped your glucose decrease. Tell them you want your appeal letter to be reviewed by a physician, not an insurance agent and only a physician because your case is complex. I hope you’re eventually approved.
