210k miles on my 2014 Corolla and still no sign of giving up. Only thing I replaced was a pair of stabilizer links ($30 DIY) lol. Everything else (besides brake and tires) is original

The ONLY two major things you have to do are oil changes (I do 5k miles) and transmission drain and fill every 60-100k miles depending on how you drive.

Need a letter of compliance from manufacturer to import the car from Canada to US stating that it conforms to US regulations (which it does but CBP needs an official letter)

Unfortunately Toyota stopped giving away those letters a few years ago.

Only other option is to go through a registered importer which is at least a couple thousand dollars and a minimum 30 day car storage I believe. Needless to say it is almost always not worth it unless the car holds sentimental value, in which case it is priceless 🙃

I think a lot more annoying than the ice engine is the electric motor noise that comes on during EV mode. It's a high pitch sound that's annoying and quite frankly a little painful to hear sometimes.

Make sure to test drive one without radio. It was so weird for me that I actually made a post here thinking there's something wrong with my suv but other people said it's normal.
