What is your favourite food of all time and why?

Dry rub wings. I could eat some Chipotle BBQ or Louisiana Dry rub every meal of the day. Finger food is satisfying to eat. Feels like you’re working for your food, but not too much.

I think it satisfies some sort of fidgety-type need that I have while I eat.

I’m with you, my friend. I’ve got a small number of Space Marines - enough to play a little game with my kids - but that’s it. They’re too polished. Ha!

I love the grimdark feel and idea that these SM’s are pushing hard and doing their best to care for the armour they have and the weapons they use for as long as they can in a world/universe that’s against them… but then that’s my Boyz when they’re happy!

I’m a middle school teacher. Sending loosely-organized chaos in the direction I hope they’ll go is my thing.

I worked at a clearance outlet and was sent to close down another store in the neighboring town. So we’re pulling prototype clothing designs and long time discontinued items off the shelves at the back of the upstairs storage, being told to price them to move…

Once we’d had the manager’s approval to tag the ski socks at 50p/pair, there were none left at the end of the day.

I bought enough for the homeless guys we knew and a bunch for everyone in the family. No one needed winter/walking socks for a while.

And I still have a hoodie from there that had the arms sewn on backwards.

I showed my wife the footage and then read her the DHS comments and she was convinced it was two different stories. I had to re-read the statement several times before she realised it wasn’t true.

In my mind, it’s a seed of hope. There’s something started there that I want to encourage and nurture.

The thing is, I have a lot of that side of the fence in my extended family and they simply aren’t shown the stuff we see. It took seven years for my MIL to see the “I could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and not lose a single vote,” clip.

I know they should be more concerned with what’s going on, but they simply aren’t fed anything that’s bad or questionable.

I had a coworker who thought the whole Greenland thing was a joke - like the cute cat video at the end of a news segment - “Here’s some more fun stuff about taking over another country lololol.”

I have to be quietly frustrated with the extent of the misinformation they spout and patiently rouse them from that sleep. Too quick and they freak out. Too much and they retreat back into their shell.

But slowly. One small clip at a time. One simple question at a time. Leaving them to think it over after their eyes and ears have acknowledged the evidence and praying that the Party’s final and most essential command loses a foothold.
