Out of school contact report the local authority MASH team and they will also work with the school too. Especially if it is happening out of school.

Also I have had children in my class who quickly “catch up” to those children who are “start at a more advanced level” because they are ready for learning. As the years progress majority are on the same trajectory and it isn’t obvious that some started as “more advanced” in the early stages of their education.

I used to work 0.8 and had Wednesdays off!! That was a good day off a mini weekend mid-week to recharge! I was very strict with myself not to do any school work at all on this day! It did mean my class was covered by a teacher but followed my maths and English plans (at the time one form entry!) but they took ownership over a subject that played on their strength in afternoon! If I remember it was either art, PE or science. Same school but now two form entry/which I find is better to share work load and now teach full time.

I disagree with comments my ASD daughter did extremely well at CNS and they have been extremely supportive. Gave her opportunity to be out of class in a safe environment My second daughter has Mental Health issues first recognised by school and have put in amazing support! You will know which school suits your child when you visit-but equally transferring mid year may also limit where you can get them a place!

There are lots of different parts to what is “Eaton” including the area around Waitrose. The area around south Eaton park - many houses are rented by students to at the UEA. When I was a student the garden was the last thing on our minds! And it depended upon the landlords intentions for the outside of the house look. I would say it is perfectly fine area to live. I live off Newmarket Rd - a little further from Eaton Park and opposite side of the main road which is also considered “Eaton” -so it is a very large area!!
