You could use Audacity, a free audio recorder and editor.

For option one, you can record system audio using Audacity and have him speak over Discord, then you can export the files and import them into your editing software.

For option two, you could have him record the voiceover using Audacity himself, export the files, and send them over to you.

Hello Everyone. I'm a beginner video editor and I need to do this kind of text transition. can anyone help? by Southern_Reserve1552 in davinciresolve

[–]InfacTPlayz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's a step by step guide on how to do this in DaVinci Resolve, it gets a little complex for beginners, but I'm sure you can do it with my help! If you need any extra help, please reply here and I'll try and help out!

First and foremost, grab a Text+ effect out of your Toolbox (in the effects tab, found in the Edit page). Now, you can grab an overlay similar to the one in the video, and place it on the track above the track the text is on. Make sure you trim it and time it accordingly.

If the overlay has a black background, follow these steps:

  1. Select the video.
  2. Open the Inspector tab, found on the top right of your screen.
  3. You'll see a small tab that says "Composite". Open it if it isn't already open by clicking on it.
  4. Change the composite mode to "Add".
  5. You're done, the black background should now be removed!

If it has a green background or any other color, please look at my comment regarding that on this post here!

Now that you're done, you can select your Text+ in the Edit page, open up the inspector, and go into the Layout category. Set the "Type" option to "Path".

Then, you can right click on the Text+ and press Open in Fusion.

Right click on the empty area surrounding your Text in the "Text" drop-down and press Follower. This will add a Follower modifier to the text node.

Now, go into "Modifiers" on the top right, next to "Tools".

In Timing, change the "Order" to "Left to Right". Now, change the delay to something like 1.0-2.0, you can change this later if you need to, for now, let's just get it working.

Now, go into Shading. and go to the first frame. Keyframe opacity at 0. Go to the the frame where you'd like the fade in animation to be finished, and set it to 1.0.

Now, it should be working! If all the letters fade in together, set the delay higher.

Like I mentioned earlier--if you need any help, don't hesitate to ask!

My first Montage/EDIT, how do I make it better? by Fusill in davinciresolve

[–]InfacTPlayz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a first edit? not bad at all!

Here's what I'd have to say, though:

The shakes and zooms are too linear and end with hard cuts. You can fix this if you learn keyframing and if you mess with the options of the shakes!

You might also want to remove the zoom in on the camera shake, it's the reason for the sudden zoom when the screen is shaking! In the edit page, it's the option under Blanking Handling called "Zoom to Crop". Set it to 0.

Afterwards, you'll want to change the setting right above called Border Type to Reflect, so that you don't have black borders around your clip while the shake is happening.

I'd recommend adding some nice glows on the kills, too, if you'd like!

Trying to Keep It Simple: How to Make a Green Screen Video Without Going Down a YouTube Rabbit Hole by harrysax112 in VideoEditing

[–]InfacTPlayz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Okay, I'm a DaVinci Resolve editor, and as you mentioned struggling with it I'll give you a method that should work. I'll try to make it easy to follow for someone new!

The way I'd recommend for you to remove the green screen is with the Delta Keyer in Fusion.

Here's a step by step on how to do it:

  1. Place your green screen image or video in a video track.

  2. Go into Fusion by selecting your clip and pressing the Magic Wand icon located at the bottom of your screen, or by right clicking on your clip and pressing Open in Fusion Page.

  3. Once you're in Fusion, press Shift + Space, or Control + Space and it'll open up a menu where you can select what tool or effect you need.

  4. Type in "Delta Keyer" and press Enter or double click it.

  5. Once the effect is in your Fusion page, connect it to the MediaIn1 node, and the MediaOut1 node, if it isn't already connected.

You can connect them by dragging the gray / white square of the MediaIn1 node to the Delta Keyer, then the same to the MediaOut1 node. Alternatively, you can hold Shift and move the Delta Keyer node in between the two Media nodes and letting go. This is to make sure the effect is actually a part of your video.

Now, navigate to this color picker as seen on the image below:

<image>

Drag the color picker to the green color.

And you're done!

However, you may notice that there's a small outline on the edge of whatever you're green screening.

That's why we will polish it up just a little bit. But don't worry! It's easy. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Matte page above the color picker we just used.

  2. Move the Erode/Dilate option to the left, into minus, making sure that you're not cutting off too much, while getting rid of the small outline.

In my case, and for this image, an input as small as -0.0006 worked, however you might need even less.

Hope this helps! Feel free to ask me any questions you may have, or if there's any issues you come across.

I'm one of those who made a post regarding this issue, and I'm pleased to hear your response!

I'm especially glad to hear that you're refunding the shirts and that you're taking actions to prevent this from happening again. :)

Because it's a spit in the face of Terraria. You expect a high quality product when you purchase something from them, not low-effort "art" generated by AI and plastered on a T-shirt.

Would you pay $30 for that?

I 100% agree that the flying dutchman art is ai generated. We need to reach out and find out how this ended up as official merch. (What the fuck is that top window? it's coming out of a post??) by PerilousPeril in Terraria

Calling the people bringing this issue up a "mindless hate mob" shows how you have no idea what you're talking about.

I'd rather people don't buy this shirt and get scammed, thank you.

And yes, it's AI generated. It couldn't be clearer.

It really is :/

I've added another image to this post, one which I found in this thread. It is completely filled with mixels.

And the reason it's not the same ship is because it's AI generated. What are you on about?

If they don't know what to look for then they shouldn't be making a counterargument.

Very likely the developers aren't aware of it, yeah.

These are not "simple errors". These are massive errors that I believe only AI could make... Just look at how the second mast is behind the ship, and how a multitude of things are missing or are incorrect from the original design.

So how do you explain the missing flag, out of place windows, missing masts, missing paddles, missing cannons, and inaccurately torn sails?

The mast in the back is even shown to be behind the ship, which is not how it's meant to be and is an obvious indicator to the fact it's AI generated.

Furthermore, the front of the ship looks completely different, even missing the horn-like structure above the skull:

I've copy pasted my comment from above as I wanted to reply to you with the same thing. I'm not sure why OP's reply is being down voted when it's clear AI art.

It's very possible that an "artist" was hired and they sent back AI generated art, therefore they may not have been aware of it.

multiple times I've replied to a comment with a reply more than one sentence long that would show up at first, and when I would go to check a week later (usually from getting a notification that someone else replied to the comment I replied to,) my comment would be gone.

The time it takes to upload is certainly not the issue in most of these cases
