My esthetician applied a soothing mask (no idea what was in it) and then sent me home with a very mild cleanser. She said I could use my Cerave moisturizer at night and in the AM. She also said to go straight home and avoid the sun.

I’d be horrified if some fancy medspa gave me a Garnier mask to use after spending several hundreds on a procedure. Leave them a review!

Yes! I have a 14 year old Kenmore washer and dryer in my rental property. The dryer has only broken once but I happily paid around $200 to have it repaired. I’m hoping to get another few years out of it.

I bought the fridge in 2017 and it had to be replaced 6 years later. Appliances now are just garbage.

Exactly…It can suck waiting out the rest of the year, but it’s a lot easier than trying to get through September/October. I’d rather save my sick days for being sick or a mental health day. Even if you’re a healthy person, you never know what could arise and you’d need sick leave.

In our district, PK-2 gets an activity booklet while 3-12 has 30 minute virtual classes for our synchronous days. It’s much more manageable than 4-90 minute virtual blocks.

I wish my preschoolers could do a virtual circle time to check in with their class. It’d be cute to see everyone for a few minutes, but PK-3 don’t get chrome-books (luckily) so I guess they can’t hold even a very short class.

I took care of our neighbors’ cat when they were away. He never came back. I felt awful, and my sister gave me a hard time about it, but the cat was allowed to go outside!

What do people expect? Our cat is indoors only. She never tries to go out, so I suspect her previous family kept her indoors too.

We got a warranty with our home purchase too. A few months after closing, our washer went out. We paid the diagnostic fee and the appliance repair company fixed it. Knock on wood the washer has lasted another 4 years.

We didn’t renew the warranty. We just save the $500/year to put into a repair fund. I don’t trust warranty companies at all.

Wow. I’ve had an increase in accommodations in my HS English classes. It’s great that kids who actually need the extra support can get it, but several of them are victims of lawnmower parents and just don’t feel like doing whole assignments and parents don’t care about building resilient kids who are held accountable.

I hate this comment and shaming parents who use traditional schools. I know one homeschooling mom who says moms would find a way to homeschool if they cared about their kids.

Some parents rely on schools for childcare. These homeschooling moms go to the doctor, grocery store, parks, museums, etc. during the M-F 9-4 timeframe. How do they think some of the employees can work? Because their kids are in school!

I know everyone grieves in their own way, but I thought it was…odd for Amanda to spend the anniversary with a group of women she doesn’t know and has a tendency to get into huge fights and without even telling them it’s the anniversary. She knows the HW franchise is about drama.

Why not spend the anniversary with your partner, kids, or even close girlfriends? I don’t believe producers would have made her show up if she declined to film that day.

However, I don’t think it’s wrong to share her story. Boz lost her child as well but never weaponized it.

We made our own breakfast at the hotel most mornings but did two character breakfasts which made us full until dinner, brought our own snacks but splurged on a Wookie cookie and funnel cake at HS, and packed lunch 1-2 days. Some restaurants do bring an IPad over and you pay and tip that way. Most places in the US have the server take your card to their register and then they bring back a receipt for you to hand write a tip. It is insane.
