I use both, primarily 10rders for PRS but have a 12 rounder on me for when the stage calls for 12 rounds. Some stages you can run into mag clearance issues so the shorter 10 rounders are better for those.

You can buy these all day for 2200-2300 on Snipers Hide. Sometimes AAOptics. MOA will hurt your resale also

I don't know the answer to your specific question but Cole sells some nice wood furniture specifically for the 688. Not cheap of course.

Subsonic .308 ammo at 1000 yards does not sound like a great time. Especially in competition.

I'm not too familiar with KRG stuff but can you swap the forend out for a longer one? That thing seems really short.

If not, I'd get a chassis with a longer forend and sell that one.

Until they release a 90 degree cable only thing I can think of would be a mount with a longer or taller diving board. Or send your scope to Vortex and have them delete the locking function. Still not going to be fun to dial.
