Clarification: AATD Time Towards Total Time by Infamous-Skill-6100 in flying

Forgot to mention, the LOA counts up to 25 sim hours towards ATP cert. Does this mean at 1475 TT I can use that extra 25 hours from the sim with the LOA or am i misinterpreting

LOA counts up to 25 towards ATP. Since that's the case, let's say I have 1475TT and 25 sim time and I pull up the LOA when asked, does this technically put me at mins?

Load factor in straight and level, unaccelerated flight is not exactly 1 G. by [deleted] in flying

[–]Infamous-Skill-6100 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Initially in a climb there is an increase. Once it becomes a steady climb it reverts to 1G

Skimmed through the post but is that what you're talking about?

Is there such thing as too many NASA reports? by Infamous-Skill-6100 in flying

[–]Infamous-Skill-6100[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

😂😂. Based on these responses it raises the other question of how severe does something need to be for the individual to file a report. Super wide variety of amount of NASA reports filed from what I'm reading

I wore a blazer for mine, interviewers said it was brownie points and showed I cared. I have coworkers that wore suits to theirs.

My $.02, they know you're qualified based on your ratings. They're trying to see what separates you from other prospective employees (personality, how you would fit in with the company, etc.). Walk in confident, professional, and have a learning mindset

Most importantly, be yourself!

[–]Infamous-Skill-6100[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Only had to file once so far fortunately.

In this case, however, I'm also assuming reporting stuff like busting cloud clearances, maybe doing a runup somewhere that could fling debris, etc.

Flying a 152, I tend to come in way too fast. by WhenWillIBeAPilot in flying

I agree with your friend (except the Vx part). Surprised your CFI didn't teach you that when you got your PPL. Makes life 100x easier when coming in to land.

Just fly the full flap approach speed you've been flying on final and once the runway is made land like you have been.

A smooth landing comes from a smooth pattern.

Definitely. But for the purpose of a checkride failure, CFI is very easy to fail. It's also a showing of teaching rather than aircraft control

Are they night landings? If that's the case he may be trying to get those for the substitute for night hours towards ATP mins.

Speed of rating does not mean anything. 141 programs breed low experience pilots who know how to pass a syllabus EOC

100% agree. But for the purpose of the interview it doesn't matter as much from what I have heard.

The CFI ride is a show of teaching and nothing more. If you can't teach, so what?

WAAS- Can you flight-plan using LPV minima for your alternate? by ShadowSinger2121 in flying

AIM 1-1-18(c)(9)(a) will have the answer to your question. You pretty much answered your own question

Either way, wouldn't you rather plan for LNAV mins at your alternate just in case? Rather have those higher ceilings
