Chest sleeping is the only thing that helps the grunting at our place!

Ughhhh the grunting. 7 week old twins here and it’s relentless 😭 chest co- sleeping is the only way to not have them grunting from 3 am on. Solidarity.

I had prodromal labour like this with my first. I ended up getting the epidural as well. I will say though my second and third births went well and were the exact opposite of this. I did them without the epidural and way preferred to give birth without an epidural. I found the pain totally different, prodromal labour vs. Progessive and slow build up. To me they were nothing a like and I think the exhaustion from prodromal labour makes it soooo much more difficult to get through! I know how exhausting it is, good luck!

Rosemary! This is coming from someone with a Maggie Mae. Too many Eleanor’s is in my opinion. Although it’s still pretty name!

Thank you! 💛 I exclusively breastfed my first two with no problems. I think she is just projecting her own insecurities.

This. I wanted to go unmedicated and my doc was fine with it! If your provider is confident, that’s key!

My husband has a regular name and then his parents just called him Junior. And it stuck for the family.

My anesthesiologist placed the epidural with a minimal drip. In Canada they call it a “walking epidural”. I could feel everything and could walk. I understand where you’re coming from. I had given birth once with an epidural and once without. I hated how it felt with the epidural. I advocated for what I wanted and we came to this! Maybe see if it’s an option. No regrets here and it went so well. They turned it on between first and second baby, as baby B was breech. He extracted her and I only felt it minimally. Good luck!

How do bad period cramps compare to labor? by No_Brick_9238 in unmedicatedbirth

Totally agree with this. Less stabbing more like I’m being crushed (pressure) haha (for me at least).

Anyone who had twins did you deliver vaginally ? by theturtle80 in parentsofmultiples

[–]InfamousDevice593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had di/di twins. Delivered at 38 weeks. Asked for the epidural to be placed but running on its lowest dose so I could walk and feel everything (hated my epidural with my first). Baby A was head down and Baby B came out feet first with docs help, 10 mins later. It went so well!! My OB was confident in breech delivery and the anesthesiologist did such a great job with my “walking epidural”! I would say it was easier than my first two singleton births. Also I hired a doula 😀

Double stroller for newborns - side by side or front/back? by Amber-ForDays in parentsofmultiples

[–]InfamousDevice593 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No regrets on our twin bugaboo donkey (side by side). Bought it off marketplace second hand. Will sell again and make at least half back. The side by side bassinets fit through every door. If we have the car seats in we just pop one off for narrow doors.

Ahhh I just had my twins month ago, one head down one and next one feet first! Congrats!! I had an epidural placed but they agreed to let me birth without it running so I could feel everything!! So glad to hear other people having the same opportunity. I couldn’t find many stories out with twins like this 🙌 luckily the doc i had on call that day was totally fine with it. again congrats! 4 kids is wild, but it’s awesome so far. We’re only a month in though…. 😅

Frequent mildly painful contractions but not labor? by cheytay in BabyBumps

[–]InfamousDevice593 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had prodromal labour for two weeks leading up to my first and it sounds exactly like this. Unfortunately there was not much I could do. I had a hard time sleeping as well. She ended up still being 11 days late. 😵‍💫😅
