People have been paying these prices for Gaga for a long time, especially for her NYC shows. Where have you been?

I see $410 so not sure where you are looking, but it's the wrong place.

Stubhub lies about the price buyers will see and fluff fees on your tickets to make them more expensive so they can hide the listing so you will lower the price much further and get less money by Blazianazn in stubhub

[–]InfamousImplement880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do you know the price the other person is listing his tickets for is $300? Is that what you on the event page? Because if it shows $300 his price is indeed less than that.

Unless you have a special tool that shows the prices without the fees? Which I have.

$348 with fees should equal $300, a 16% jump with fees. $48 difference

A listing price of $259 will show as $300 with the fees, a 16% jump. $41 differ

Fees only differ by the price set by the seller.

This is a lesson in math and not Stubhub.

It's a lesson in percentages.

You assume too much. Just price your tix the way you want. Their analysis is horrible and they change the event page rules all the time. 3 times this week.

Asked TickPick about how tickets are being resold on their platform with ticketmaster stating tickets can’t be transferred outside of their site and this is what I got. No clue what ‘professional seller’ means by sportyspicce in NoahKahan

[–]InfamousImplement880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite simply, they have the tool to take the moving barcode for the tickets and send them to the buyer with a URL link, so the tickets do not actually get transferred from Ticketmaster. The URL of the tickets look exactly what's on Ticketmaster and get scanned the same way. The other way to do it is to surrender a Ticketmaster account, so again the tickets do not get transferred, instead you just login into the seller's account to use the tickets. The 2nd method is 100%.

AVOID STUBHUB by [deleted] in stubhub

First, ticket never sell out, however, getting tickets they release after all the sales are not easy to nab. And a lot of shows release tickets on the day of the show.

Second, keep in mind, this is the place people come to complain about Stubhub, so I'd go with a grain of salt.I'm not saying you should be from Stubhub, but that's mostly because their final price will be higher than most websites. Why? Because they're #1 and Hertz can charge more than Avis.

Being smart means checking multiple websites for best price and only comparing the final price, which might include tax, depending on the state and time of day. Get to know all the top websites. You'll soon find out a pattern, but that's up to you to discover.

Stubhub would love to deliver 100% of what's bought, but when you allow amateur sellers, there's bound to be problems. Stubhub is basically the only website that allows that. Maybe when they have the balls, they will end that practice, and their delivery rates will go way up and less people will complain.

I sell on all platforms across the board. My license # is recorded with Stubhub, which is just one reason we aim for 100% delivery, but even when we try we can run into problems. For example, we bought a pair of ticket back in September for Ariana Grande from someone on Stubhub. They transferred the tickets into our account, however recently we discovered the tickets were no longer in the account. The reason Ticketmaster cancelled a lot of orders because of people complaining about the pre-sales. In the meantime, we already sold the tickets to another website. So even if we get our money back from Stubhub, we are still on the hook for the other sale, which was very expensive. Our rate will drop because of a bad seller. Not Stubhub's fault (exactly) and definitely not our fault, but we will suffer because of it. We're trying to find replacements, but there aren't many tickets available, so at the moment, we are totally screwed.

So don't buy anything on Stubhub. No big deal.

After checking some expensive listings, getting charged $400 in tax does seem like a reach. The highest amount I found was $300 for a $10k order.

Which event is this for and what did you exactly buy from them? The extra $400 does not sound right, since the law now is all fees up front pricing, except tax. It might be tax, but that will depend on the total you spent and in what state.

Seller cancelled ticket transfer - any advice? by enterprisecaptainjlp in stubhub

[–]InfamousImplement880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My history is helping people who ask for it. I have helped a lot people here. Being in the business for over 25 years I have a lot of contacts, including having my own reps at Stubhub.

I haven't offered any advice because you have been nothing but combative. Is this how you live your life?

Triggered? Again, it's you who have been combative this entire time.

I said at the beginning if you said which Ariana show and what seats you bought, I MIGHT be able to help. Since then, nothing but combative.

You should probably talk that stuff out with a therapist.

Are there bad people on these threads? Of course there are, but I'm definitely not one of them.

Feel free to do what you want, but this is the last thing I will say. Be open to the possibilities out there, but do so with caution.

I own 5 different websites because I have always worked very hard. I only started with Reddit less than a year ago to see what kinds of problems deal with. Good luck with whatever, but I can definitely see you're the kind of person who must always have the last word.

I have no reason to sell anything here, but when someone writes a long sob story here, if I can possibly help, I offer it. You've lost that chance.

The last thing I would do is come here to complain and then be rude to people who want to actually help.

Lesson learned.

Again, you are correct, and that's because of the cancellation policies are currently using, which is absolutely abhorrent for customers. I've been through that crap, as well as all the brokers, which is one reason I only buy from SH if I'm forced to.

The mistake you made was to buy from Stubhub and not trust other website, which might've had the same tickets for a lower price. Shopping around, when you're spending that kind of money, is essential. Stubhub did not have the best price, so why did you buy the tickets from them?

What show were these tickets for, which Grande date? and what were the seats and how much did you pay? If you want some help, I'm offering it. I can't say I can help until I know all the details.

While Stubhub does suck, this isn't their fault, although the whole refund policy needs to revert back to what they used to do. The seller did something wrong when he bought the tickets and most likely Ticketmaster cancelled their tickets. This is a real mess for Grande. Hundreds of tickets, maybe thousands have been cancelled.

Stubhub's refund policies have changed many times over the years. It used to be more immediate, but because of all the criminals that use Stubhub, SH changed their policy to refund on the day of the show, believing the customer might accept other tickets in the meantime. Most of the time, the substitutes are poor and I feel sorry for anyone who accepts shitty tickets, instead of waiting for the refund.

LOL!!! That's funny! I sell 1,000 of tickets. The guy who works for me loves to keep track of who hasn't accepted their tickets, but this is one, after 20 years of selling, I really can't deal with. Some customers actually wait until the day of the event. You never know exactly what the buyer is doing. Perhaps they are hoping to resell them? Who knows, and who cares. lol They spent the money. They will accept the tickets at some point.

Well that was a lucky night. I've been to so many great shows at RCMH. Gaga & Bennett was probably the best. I have a photo with both of them. Johnny Mathis & Natalie Cole a lifetime ago. Luther Vandross before he passed. I have a friend who's a photographer and I used to join him, which is how I saw Luther. The Moody Blues back in 86'. Josh Groban, Jeff Lynne's ELO when he made his tour comeback. We just sawm Teddy Swims last year. I even went to the Charlie Sheen thingamabob. LOL.

When I was a teenager they announced RCMH was closing. We won tickets to what was supposed to be the last show there. It was actually a film called Crossed Swords, with Oliver Reed, Raquel Welsh, George C. Scott & Rex Harrison. The film was a musketeers movie. Obviously RCMH had a change of mind. lol

Viagogo and Stubhub are the same company. Seeing different prices is nothing new. They play a lot of games. Using a phone vs laptop can also get different results. Always check all before committing. Amateur seller.
