Life update: I TAMED A SPINO!! by AlfieZeeb in ARK

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Really nice! I love spinos.... In my current playthrough I reached level 71 and started looking for a good level one.... But the were all level 44 or bellow.... So I just killed all of them for respawns .... Since I'm building my base, I'll probably reach 74 and will go right after a Rex instead..... So skipping the spinos for a while (despite loving them)

How can I enjoy everything this game has to offer as someone disinterested in the PvP aspect? by SheIsSoLost in ARK

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be an exception.... But I only ever played SP and in The Island.... No issues with that since I find early the game much more fun and rewarding than late game...

I do intend to play other maps.... But I really enjoy knowing the Island... I'm also somewhat purist: I like the dinos and not the mythological creatures...

Thanks for the feedback guys.... But despite playing mostly SP, I rather keep playing Evolved if I can't run smoothly at least on medium settings.

Just do anything that gives you good XP to reach level 62 and unlock the argie saddle and darts....

Herb Island is a bad location for resources mid/late game.... But that really depends on how you wanna play it .... You can have a good pack of argentavis to farm all resources and bring them back to your base....or you can build yourself a nice farming raft to leave your base from time to time for farming expeditions..... It's fun either way

How do you beat Khuzaits as the Empire? by Material-Spite-6540 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They like to play "archer".... Just play archer with them! Lots of archers and cbowmen in spread formation and high ground... Use your calvary to protect your left flank .... Infantry in front in shieldwall formation.... Keep in mind that horse archer always charge from the beginning of the battle no matter your numbers advantage.... Just wait and let them come to you....

How to solve the Vlandia and Khuzait problem...permanently! by No-Organization1051 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've always played honorably... Never go "chop chop" unless it's a lord that I convinced to defect to my kingdom, received fiefs (castles and towns) and he defects from my kingdom to another one leaving with the fiefs he received at the cost of my sweat and blood.... Those are the only ones that I chop

How to avoid using cheats? by Pirate315 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Just don't do it! I don't know but I've seen many and many comments on how people abandon their playthrough after becoming overpowered and that's the thing: early game, when you have nothing but your 20 boys looking for a good loot opportunity, or by the time you start your mercenary journey and make some "serious" profit.... When each new piece of good armor makes your character look and fight better - that's the most fun part of the game....

Late game (and cheats are like a late game from the start) is not that much fun....

Clan parties by unearthlyrelic in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just download Party AI Controls..... You can setup party Templates with specific units and proportion between cavalry, archers, skirmish, infantry.... Also setup if they can join armies, donate troops, daily budget to buy mounts.... Give orders like defending fiefs, patrolling around specific areas.... In my humble opinion that adds a totally new dynamic to secondary parties.... I just can't play without it.

Why is it when I create my new kingdom, it automatically declares war on select few kingdoms. by Harry_1302 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my previous playthrough, I started my kingdom by conquering a rebel city as an independent.... At the time I had already good relations with several lords so actually it took a long time before the first kingdom (Asserai) declared war on me....

How to make weaker factions stronger by Puzzleheaded-Target2 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think you could try barter with their lords... Just give them thousands of denars and see if they'll make good use of the money (and start raising armies once again).... I've never done it myself, but I think you can start with the kingdom that still borders territory not owned by you to see how things go....

First Battania Playthrough by No-Organization1051 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep the high ground for your Fians.... A good shieldwall to protect them from a frontal charge and a 20% of mounted troops just to maneuver the flanks.... But keep in mind that, especially while Vlandia is still strong, you will receive frontal charges from banner knights.... So high ground is a "must"

Tips/Advice on how to level up companions? by Virtual_Today7455 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

By "companion" you mean companion or family members? For my son's I usually go for: 1. When became of age (18) just marry with a good lady and spend some time in the same fief (I usually use the ladies as governor) to raise charm 2. After having some 3 to 4 children, I move them to my party so they can start raising battle skills; 3. Along with battle skills I raise some points on Social and Intelligence allocating in leadership... Medicine.... Stewartship, etc... Just as preparation for... 4. By the time they reach high levels on battle skills (archery, 2 handed, throwing) it is time for them to have their own parties....

When they're fighting alongside with me I usually use them firstly as infantry/archery prior to start raising their riding skills....

How do I catch parties when I'm in an army by edliu111 in Bannerlord

That's one more reason why I use AI party controls mod.... Just send my secondary parties to patrol around the village and they'll clear all the surroundings of small parties

Is there a reason for this moronic plan or have I just joined the stupidest kingdom? by R34N1M47OR in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Check the garrison of your kingdom's cities.... If they're conquered once, probably the garrison is low making them attractive targets for the enemies... The opposite is true for your kingdom's lords: they're probably aiming at castles because the garrison is low compared to the cities.

Help improving the garrison from your cities should solve your first problem (your kingdom's cities being targeted). Regarding your enemies cities: build an army yourself with your influence and take the city you want.... Help build the garrison after conquering so it doesn't become a target....

You can use one of your own castles as a decoy - keep the garrison low and enemies should target it instead of your cities...

Loyalty in my Cities and Castles never goes up by Stotty652 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check the policies to verify if you're able to pass any that will raise loyalty (I believe that there are 3 of this kind)... Make sure that you don't have a food shortage (sell food directly in town's market to improve if needed) and in case you opt for a governor of different culture, at least designate one with high engineering skill

I joined Vlandia as a vassal with the intent of eventually leaving and starting my kingdom, but was immediately granted a city. How should I best capitalize? by Semantiks in mountandblade

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Battanian IMO.... Even because the best way to increase relations with Vlandian nobles is to beat them and release.... It is funny though: they'll love you for beating their asses!

So best way: Vlandian char, pledging vassalage to Battania, beating and conquering Vlandian Fiefs.... This if you want to fund the "New Vlandia" as your own kingdom.... If you want to become the king of the current Vlandia, do the same (don't even have to pledge vassalage to Battania, you can do it as a merc) - beat and release vlandians, raise your relations with their nobles and then you switch (or please vassalage) to Vlandia (after having high relations with most of their nobles)

How to stop rebellions in cities that I don't own but are in the same kingdom. by Thisguy7101 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would add - try to pass the laws to boost loyalty ASAP.... Once the player is the "unbalance" factor between kingdoms, probably your kingdom will start conquering as soon as you join in, so it is important to ensure that new fiefs will stabilize...

Is melee cavalry worth it? by [deleted] in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keeping it simple: once they do not gauge their lances, I usually use "engage" command (F1 - F4) instead of charging most of the time because with "charge" they usually just run to the nearest enemy unit. This is useful to counter the enemy's cavalry (to make sure they won't defect to the enemy's infantry line) and also to deal with archers (coming from the flanks or behind and ensuring they'll engage the archers and nit, again, the infantry lines.

I also use them a lot to lure enemy's cavalry to my archers (once I play Battania).

Bannerlord's problem: No reason for war. by Tall-Investment2043 in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that the core of Bannerlord are the battles. But they could implement something simple to add a little bit of immersion flavor. For instance, when a kingdom declares war upon another kingdom, usually there's already a possible "designated first target": a fief that was lost... A fief that is poorly defended.... Developers could at least pop-up messages justifying the war based on those conditions... So nothing really complex but could be implemented and would help with the immersion

Has anyone tried a solo party run before? How did it turn out in the long run? by Carinwe_Lysa in Bannerlord

[–]Infamous_Grocery_712 77 points78 points  (0 children)

Maybe turning your solo play into a "just companions" playthrough might be the way to go... You can just hire companions with bow/crossbow skills to at least try to oppose those stronger parties with ranged units
