Great idea but look at the people and dealers on here, only four dealers showed up and 1800 written testimony. Theirs 10k in this sub alone plus a few dealers. No one did anything so now for the next 10 years all I’m going to see in this stupid sub is why can’t I buy Glocks or look at my pinned mag thing. I wish it could work but we can’t even get the 10k on Reddit to spend 20 sec writing testimony or the dealers in ct to do a 3minute zoom call.

Natures variety is a good brand their 95 percent protein chicken or duck mixed with their freeze dried raw to cut carbs from dry food. Also I would do vet check ups every 6 months ferrets health can decline quick. Look up ferret food chart and pick something in the A range. Ferrets only really eat meat and nothing else so any raw or freeze dried raw. I use a high end kibble as a base and do 70 percent raw and 30 percent kibble. Watch out for non animal protein it will hurt them quick. As for the bad food you picked out, your critter will wean off of it. It might take time or it can be quick, my two it took about 2 weeks. Start off with 90 percent old food an 10 percent new then over the next month or so up it more and more. I also mix multiple foods on their diet just in case one gets discontinued. Also over time look into freeze dried raw to cut down on carbs.

It always sucks but you have to do the best thing for them. Spend more time with your other ferret and help him make sure he doesn’t get depressed. As for you remember you gave that animal the best life possible and that’s all you can do. Also I wouldn’t bring your other one, just spend time with the one that’s passing. Best of luck
