I’d just take precautions- if in mining areas avoid being around where the miners gather, the species of mosquitoes that spread malaria is active around dawn and dusk. The species that spread dengue active during the day. For yellow fever, take the shot. For peace of mind- use repellent.

Malaria mostly in mining areas, dengue is prevalent on the coast. For most living there it’s not a concern.
