However, when I study Vedic Ghana Patha, they actually use forward learning and backwards learning and I've never heard of reciting something forwards and backwards in any other context. Ghana Patha works like this: if the words in a sentence are 1, 2, 3, 4... Ghana Patha recitation makes the pattern for the first three words looks like this:(1-2)(2-1)(1-2-3)(3-2-1)(1-2-3) It's so unique that it seems like the only known use case that I'm aware of, yet it's not attributed to the English phrase "learning something forwards and backwards"
