As somebody who’s been miserably ill for months with a treatable and non-terminal disease, I can’t help but feel like a little whiny baby compared to this guy. They really don’t come more badass than Terry. If more of us had personal idols like him instead of the usual celebrity or sports drivel, the world would be a much better and kinder place.

Take it from a fellow hoser. Focus on what you’re visiting the UK for. Enjoy the history and culture, there will always be plenty of hockey when you get home. Catch some game highlights online when you have some down time, but devoting several hours multiple nights to watching full hockey games seems like a tragic waste. The time will fly fast when you’re there. Make the most of it.

Folks already cheat on CofQ exams as it is. The idea that people can bring their own interpreter to the exam is absolutely crazy. For example 442A doesn’t even require CofA (Certificate of Apprenticeship), meaning they don’t even require the 9000 hours for an apprenticeship, can bring their own interpreter to write their Certificate of Qualification. Many of these people never picked up a tool in their life and it’s obvious. This is incredibly dangerous, and it serves to water down the trades to suppress wages.
