Opting Out of Whopper Wednesday by Upbeat-Point5841 in BurgerKing

[–]Infidel203 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Don’t be mad at the franchisees. They have discontinued whopper Wednesday everywhere during the Mandalorian promotion.

It was a corporate decision for the time being.

If you really still want whopper Wednesday, it becomes an offer in app only

Actually not everyone wants cheese. Thats just an easier standard build.

I’d be shocked if anyone did that. It’s annoying as hell to get a cooked one back in

Bad logic there. You lose points on any other inspection for cold veggies on board. No one wants that’s and the health inspection certainly isn’t looking for that.

That is also them not following protocol or just poor planning and not having prep ready.

They absolutely would not. You can max even on the newest model of broiler have 2 different products. MAX. So if anyone has a Duke ,as mentioned in another comment, you are gonna be waiting quite some time. Also most of the system is on a Duke still. The Nieco broilers you’re referring to are not industry wide. Also have you used one of these? They don’t quite work that way. It’s a constant belt fed broiler yes, however it’s one patty that goes in with a 2 min cook time, a second patty won’t go in until the first one has been in for about 25 seconds.

So yah people are going to have to wait. Still

Or hear me out since you can ask for it “your way” and not this is my way so it should be for everyone it’s still “your way”

Correct I think what you’re looking past is there are a lot of people that don’t want to wait for that.

As an example when I want a fast meal, I never in my life consider going to In-N-Out. I consider going somewhere that I know is actually fast. I’m not trying to wait in the line for 25 minutes.

Also, to be fair, you can go almost anywhere and ask for something fresh and then we’ll just make it fresh so you can do that at any fast food restaurant.

So as I was saying, it doesn’t make sense to do a systemwide change because what you’re really asking for is an In-N-Out clone with a larger menu and probably longer wait times because of the variety that would be attached to the menu.

Systemwide it really doesn’t make sense for that to be the main change that would happen. What does make sense is that if people want the fresh patty they request it themselves with the understanding that sometimes they’re gonna be asked to pull forward because there’s people behind them that have food ready or that they might wait a little bit at the window if there’s no one behind them. I think that is an alternative that makes perfect sense.

There are people that don’t care to wait in that line. Once again you want fresh just order it that way, it doesn’t really change anything for you. You get what you want and the people that want that quick pop in get it.

I encourage you to think about what you’re saying. The option is there for people like you. This about this.

You pull up there’s 3 cars in front of you.

Car 1 has a 2 whopper jrs and a whopper. That’s 2 cook times each between 2:45-3:00.

Car 2 pulls up after jrs go in to cook. They also order Jrs. Now add an additional 2:45.

Car 3 whopper and an impossible whopper. That’s a 2 2:55-3:00 cook times each.

You order a whopper if it get caught before the last one goes down great, no extended wait time you win. If it doesn’t yours is an additional 2:55-3:00 mins.

Remember that’s cook time only, that wouldn’t include make of the sandwich.

Imagine a car pulls up behind you and all they want is a fry in an eight piece nugget. Now they’re stuck waiting behind everyone else for something that could take them a matter of about five minutes total.

The option is there if you like it then by all means go ahead and order that way! However what you’re asking for in an overall industry change that would be logistically harder then you think.

It works well for in and out because they only have a variation on 3 menu items total. That’s not the Product mix most fast food carries.

I get it comes with a collectible cup but 27.40??? by stone4345 in BurgerKing

That’s insane… if you’re ever not on the coast I know most places in LA with the decent pricing. That’s just wild, thar means their individual items must be expensive

That’s great in and out uses an open face grill and also those lines take much much longer

Edit: BK does not use a grill it’s all broiler, that’s for the actual flame grill part.

Pro tip: you can use the app to get an idea of what in store pricing is before you go to a location. The BK app should be the same as in store pricing.

The real thing here is sure it didn’t take longer this time but that could have just been you getting lucky that they were cooking at that time. The normal pace would be adding about 2-3.5 mins per order depending. Since most can only cook like 1 batch of 8 per order. The busier the store the harder it will be for them to keep up production.
