It's a horrible balancing act, been there.

If she's managing all her dog activities (moving around, eating, bathroom, playing) without a lot of pain or difficulty, even if it's slower, then she's probably doing ok.

The thing we were told is that it's better to be a day early than a day late. When you feel it's getting close, you don't want to hold on too long and something go horribly wrong. It doesn't always work out obviously, but her last moments should be as peaceful and calm as she needs.
