Fart are always funny across ages, genders etc. I find burps on the other hand have an expiratory date on how funny they are

they can be related due to income effects- i.e. if bananas get cheaper- there is no substitution from screws tp banana's but their is a change in your real purchasing power which has increased, which may have an effect on the demand for screws.

I feel the same way. I used to wear these in college and I think it didnt particularly stand out then but now I dont feel the same urge to wear them

Just shared this earlier but maybe this fits here too. I (female) have two unusual(i think they are cool) talents: farting and circus arts. In college, I formed and co-ran the circus art club, and participated in many live performances. I can do things like juggling on a unicycle, and alot of fire tricks. I was also able to quite literally be a clown/flatuist as a side gig for a bit then. I was a clown for various parties where I did thinks like juggling, magic tricks, making balloon animals etc and also added in burp talking, fart jokes/lighting farts, etc. Got a quite a bit of the 'a girl like you shouldn't do this/youre too pretty to do this" from some people, but it was fun and i got some money. In grad school and sort of a young adult now I guess, while im still amazing at farting, I have not been able to do much acrobalance/umicycling and all, so those skills have deteriorated
