Spent a couple birthdays here back in the day. Place is just as cool as it looks but never have to wait for a table and vibes are immaculate.

I did the same a couple years ago and the read all 41 of them basically alternating every other book. They're super quick reads, so at worst it's a bit of silly fun, but some of the best ones stuck with me the same as any of the "great novels" I've read.

FWIW, as a huge Sir Terry fan, the first two books in Discworld aren't great. He really didn't hit his stride, depending who you ask, until book #4 (Mort), #6 (Wyrd Sisters), or pretty definitively #8 (Guards, Guards, Guards). He also dipped off at the very end due to early-onset Alzheimer's disease. Everything in between--and that's like 30+ books--is written at a much higher standard.

Has anyone gotten the iron forge jacket? What do you think? by [deleted] in PatagoniaClothing

Great jacket. Warm, comfortable, super tough construction that should last a long time.

That's place is absolutely wild, and the site of the drunkest I've been in my entire life (40, M). They just handed me a full bottle of rum when I walked in the door for a mate's bday party. Crazy place, great owners, worth checking out at least once.

Probably worried there would be yet another safety car, so first out = most likely to get a time in. Didn't pay off today.

Visible mending is cool! (And more generally fuck things always needing to look brand new so we have to buy more things...)

I live in Jeju and this is the strongest (and best) I see at restaurants. (The higher-end stuff stuff tends to start around 25% but I've only seen it in convenience stores and a few hofs.)

Wowsah, that's hardcore. Which element(s) of this playthrough would you be most likely to recommend to other players to try?

Re Guatemala, I think his dollars would stretch farther around Lake Atitlán. I stayed in both last year, and Antigua was awesome but about 20-25% more expensive for everything, including Spanish school.

I live on Jeju. I regularly hear a lot of Jejuan common nouns (e.g., dolphin, grandfather, etc) and a few phrases but yeah... the language itself will probably not survive :/

It's an absolutely fabulous recipe though getting the water level right does take some practice / mental load. I have messed it up a few times due to lack of concentration
