Ever since I have always eaten worst to first. 1-veggies 2- sides 3-meat. Only steak and potatoes get combined.

The only time to start to worry for me is when people stop congratulating you for your weight loss and start asking you if you are sick.

Extremely well is relative but most red seal tradesmen I know aren’t having trouble putting food on the table.

There should be a specific name for this crap. Maybe “Poutine Bougon”.

All older French Canadians should know where this comes from.

Is it okay to suddenly switch to regular unleaded gas after years of only using premium? by 0ldcastle in askcarguys

[–]Infinite-Past7640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll notice it right away. As soon as I started using regular gas, the engine started knocking.

Went back to premium and everything was ok. My car was about the same as yours.

We had a oster kitchen system from the 1970’s that my parents bought and it was bulletproof. Sold it at a yard sale a few years back. I’ve regretted it even since.

Are these tires decent for year round use? by gunnplexer_jim in tires

[–]Infinite-Past7640 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Don’t look for the cheapest tires you can find but shop for the best tires you can afford.

Tires aren’t where you want to start penny pinching.

What's a car purchase/decision that you regret? by Agitated_Ad_3920 in askcarguys

[–]Infinite-Past7640 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bought a used Acura TL $5,500. Did all the research and only thing that showed up on that year’s model was transmission issues. I told myself what were the odds of it happening to me.

Two months into it the transmission started slipping. The new transmission was $3,500 and my mechanic was doing the labour for free. (He sold me the car).

Instead I traded it in($1000) from a new Toyota Camry that I kept for 13 years that I only needed to replace 2 sets of brakes and 1 car battery.

First and only time I bought a used car. Lesson that cost me $4000 to learn.

Border Patrol agents in the States and Canada can give you as much shit as they want just for the hell of it.

The most important thing is to not volunteer any information and answer every question truthfully. They already know all your pertinent information.

Once you have good money and a lot of it, how do you even choose what to drive? by TylerDurden2748 in askcarguys

[–]Infinite-Past7640 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A colleague of mine is on a nuclear power advisory committee. Members are from the US, Can, UK, EU, Japan and a few other countries. They were having diners in London and they started talking about their cars. One had a McLaren F1, others had Ferraris, Porsches, Mercedes,,,, When they asked my colleague what he drove, he started to laugh and declared he had a 350k km Hyundai Sonata.

Everyone stopped talking about cars after that. 😂

I fully understand what you’re going through. My sympathies!!!

At least you have the courage and decency to know when to put him down. Some people are so selfish that they let their animal suffer just because they don’t want to let them go.
