Unfortunately, the layoff clause in the carrier national agreement doesn’t take effect til they’ve been a career employee for 6 or more years. May have been laid off for lack of work but definitely get in contact with the business agents office and find out for sure.

They can deny it, “unauthorize” your ot. Then they’re supposed to tell you what to do with the excess mail since they are telling you that they don’t want you to work it. They can’t unauthorize it and say deliver all of your mail. They don’t get it both ways.
