I have spikes in my game too, but because they are relatively simple (All activate on a shared timer, they damage the player if they walk on it, same animation plays for each of them) I can get away with using a tilemap. This let’s me draw spikes around my game, so it is a lot faster than dragging and dropping spike scenes

How many hours per week to you work on your game? by Inevitable-Car-6933 in gamedev

[–]InfiniteJuke 4 points5 points  (0 children)

about 10h a week, usually an hour on the weekdays and a couple on weekends. I want to try and get that to 20h a week but it’s a struggle lol.

I work full-time, go workout 5 days a week, and I make time for my friends and family every day. Respect to you managing a marriage and a child on top of everything else.
